“At the end of August 2024 I sustained an injury to my knee. It took 8 months to get answers and surgery to repair the damage caused. I was not offered physio or any support from the NHS. I honestly thought I was going round in circles and desperately wanted to get back to running, hiking and everyday life without pain or fear of re-injuring myself. I discovered The Body Fit clinic at the Grimsby 10K in June 25 and I am so glad I did! Lauren has played a massive role in my rehabilitation and I would be completely lost without her guidance and support over the past few months. Lauren was there for my first leap and believed in me! This week I have managed to start small runs and feel amazing being back on my feet! I’m truly grateful for all Lauren has done for me and for giving me the confidence to get my running shoes back on! Thank you Lauren!”

“I have experienced profound changes from working with Abby in therapy. Before - I didn’t want to live and I was sick of the way I was. I was desperate for change, I didn’t like myself, couldn’t speak up for myself and had been late diagnosed with ADHD a year before I started therapy. During - Abby validated my feelings, identified harmful thinking, helped me restructure those thoughts and beliefs. She ‘got’ the ADHD me which took off so much pressure. It was hard work and I’ve had bad days and better days and some really bad days. But Abby encouraged me to trust the process, which I eventually did. After - I have learnt to speak up for myself, although it’s only in small ways it has strengthened me to be myself. I am starting to enjoy life, the negative thoughts have reduced, and when they occur I have a way to combat them. I feel more confident to be myself and the biggest change has been that I am now no longer responsible for others emotions and keeping everyone happy and that is a massive weight off. I always thought I was a pessimist and now I find I am optimistic 80% of the time. These changes have been gradual but have had a big impact on me.”

“I went to see Rob because of my OCD, I had tried every single treatment you could imagine, nothing worked. I admit I was super nervous, and I honestly didn’t believe hypnosis was real, but I had nothing to lose, so we met up for a chat to see if it was right for me, and we agreed to do it. I want to make this clear, hypnosis is real, after we talked about what was going to happen, within 10 minutes I was under hypnosis, it’s such a beautiful feeling, you’re fully aware of what’s happening, but you’re also in a dream like state. After several sessions my OCD was a lot better, I would say a good 90%, you also learn techniques to deal with future occurrences, and Rob is always there for you should you need him. If you feel you need help with something in your life, give Rob a call, you really will not regret it, he’s not in it just to make money, he cares about helping people, he listens and understands, and he will help you to understand your issues. “I am a patient here at St Hugh’s hospital in Grimsby undergoing cosmetic surgery by the brilliant surgeon, Mr Riaz! From my 1st consultation to my admission and surgery today, everyone and everything has been brilliant. I had upper and lower facelift, one being the pioneering R lift meaning less recovery time. I had upper lids, neck liposuction and a chin implant. It took 5 hours and hurts like hell now but the brilliant staff are on top of pain and anything they can do to make you feel more comfortable- none of it is no trouble at all! I’m in a private room, can pay in instalments which, for me, meant I could get it done sooner at 54 rather than wait for my pension to mature and take the plunge. Mr Riaz was recommended to me - it’s all subtle but dramatic results as I have met many patients who I only know had any work because they told me. Staff are incredible like my main carer, Lucy but also Riaz’s Angels, Kerry-Anne, Sheila and Robyn (who makes the best hot chocolate!. Caroline, Mick the anaesthetist, Dr Petra and so many others I’ll have to add into this review later. I’ve been self-concious and planning this for years because of my genetics and low-self esteem the last few years, I’ve taken steps to stop the clock and make some adjustments to give myself a boost despite my lovely friends and family saying I don’t need it. Check in later to see results, physically and mentally! I hope to stop hiding away so much. Thanks to everyone at St Hugo’s for looking after me with their big hearts and professionalism.
