“Dropped in on a Sunday afternoon after Grok (my AI) suggested the Angel as the best spot for a Sunday lunch between Pontefract and Barnsley, boy did grok nail that recommendation!! Fitted us in no problem, food was just amazing (especially the black pudding wrapped scotch eggs!!) portions were huge, like the Yorkshire puddings!!, vegetables all cooked to perfection. Definitely couldn’t fault a single thing, well done to you all, and a shout out to the fabulous staff. Thanks for a great Sunday lunch, you didn’t disappoint and Grok rules for recommendations!!”

“Stopped by for dinner to enjoy a bit of Americana, and we were welcomed with open arms. Wonderful staff and service, I had the ribs which were incredible, we also enjoyed several cocktails including the old fashioned and the snow-ito which were both delicious. Upon learning my partner is from north america, the chef excitedly gave us a kitchen tour, adding to the friendly and welcoming feel of the place. We ended up spending way too much as what we meant to be a quick dinner turned into a 3 course meal. Would visit again!”

Despite there being a number of alternatives locally, they are in our opinion by far the best in the area. (They also do consistently good jacket potatoes and catering for our staff and client meetings).”

I was horrified when the Springs location closed, but was relieved to see they'd just relocated. Anyway, great breakfasts and very friendly! “Moved local to BEANS not long ago I gave beans a go and haven't stopped ordering since I order at least 5 out of 7 mornings a week Deliveries every morning nice, fast and professionally. I did have just 1 problem out of the 100s of deliveries I have had and it was resolved in no time. Recieved a polite private message with an apology from the owner. These guys from the start reassured me they would sort the problem out by fittting genuine ford parts. Hats off to you two. I will be using your services for my other vehicles in the future. “I cannot thank Kings Croft enough for hosting our wedding last weekend. From start to finish, I couldn’t fault them. All staff were attentive and friendly, and were quick to reply to my never ending questions! On the day, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food was the best wedding food we’ve ever had! “Love it here! First time visiting today with my 9 month old son (can crawl and stand). There’s an absolutely brilliant baby section, babies from probably about 4-5 months would probably enjoy this area with the sensory aspects of it. There’s an under 4s section which is nice but small. Then a larger play area for bigger kids. The play centre, toilets, tables etc are all so clean and welcoming. There’s free parking. The food and drinks are also really well priced. It was really busy In the school holidays but I’d imagine in term time it might be a bit quieter. Still busy or not busy it’s a brilliant place to go!”

“Food prices seem to be rising here, once for £80 I could fill the trolly plus some, half full now. Since Covid it seems the global reset has been higher prices for the sake of it. Middle isle isn't what it was, a lot of food in there now.”
