βI cannot recommend Browns Restaurant enough! Absolutely fantastic service- the host was amazing- so attentive. The food was top quality, freshly cooked and excellent value for money. This was a celebration for my Husbandβs birthday and Browns went above and beyond to make it special. We are definitely returning very soon!β
βLovely atmosphere for get together. Food was really nice huge portions and well worth the price. Service was pretty good and very friendly. Definitely be returning.β
βAbsolutely amazing restaurant, amazing food and by far fair prices. The staff here are so accepting of all people. The staff that work here in my eyes are so accepting of all race's and cultures. Never experienced a time here as to where I havenβt left the restaurant with a full stomach and huge smile on my face. Would recommend this place to anybody.β
βWas excited to try The Windmill as itβs under new management. Went for Sunday lunch with my young family. The service and ambience was lovely. The food was superb. Absolutely delicious and great value for money. Huge portions. My Auntie took home a doggie bag and it lasted two more meals. My new favourite Sunday lunch in Derby. We will most definitely be back!β
βStayed here for my time in Etwall and you couldnβt pick a better spot. The location is fantastic and the room itself was nicely decorated and well maintained. This is all second to the first rate service and the friendliest of staff, who were extremely helpful during my visit. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in lovely Etwall.β
βOutstanding service from James, Chelsea & the team!! Nothing was too much hassle, they truly have gone above & beyond - I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks guys!!β
βWent here after seeing mashtag go and ordered 3 dishes teriyaki chicken which was not very spicy my teenage daughters request it was amazing 9 out of ten then a seabass dish also amazing 8 out of ten my preference don't like citrus then a beef rendang don't no ifs that's spelt write this was a bit spiced and also my daughter who dosnt like spices favourite massive 10 out of 10 all meals were either with rice or noodles but we had both which were cooked beautifully the presentation was eye pleasing apparently they have been there 8 years so not being from derby didn't no about it the staff were brilliant explaining the foods any one who reads this needs to go I don't normally do reviews but think hari hari and it's staff deserve a shout outβ
βWow! Caught a last minute booking for the ten course - yes TEN - tasting menu. Fab-u-lous! Something so wrong yet right about starting with the unmistakable taste of a Big Mac from the first course but we then cantered through so many creative and sumptuous dishes, each painstakingly presented and introduced by her enthusiastic and friendly team. Start with a cocktail and then enjoy taking your time with the wide choice of wines to suit all tastes (and budgets). We went with a Montrachet as it was a special occasion and the food deserved a wine to match. But please donβt make a reservation - it was hard enough to get one this time!β
βWe were visiting Tutbury, and stumbled across this lovely cafΓ©. We only had drinks but even those were nice. The caramel latte is my favourite β The staff were helpful and friendly. The toilets are on the left hand side of the cafΓ©, and we're spacious and clean. I would recommend this cafΓ©.β
βGorgeous pizza in a lovely atmosphere plus great tunes as added bonus. They use ingredients from their allotment and stone milled organic grains for their dough which is so tasty even on its own. I had fig and goats cheese, can't express how delicious it is. There's a wide selection of organic wine to sip while you wait. Me and my friends had a great time! (Also the rye chocolate cookies are like heaven).β
βI came here on Wednesday, as itβs always somewhere I walked past every week and Iβve always meant to try it out. The staff are so so lovely, their service was stellar and so welcoming which was 100% appreciated! The food was delicious (I had an Italian sandwich) and beautifully presented, when my friends saw my food they even said theyβd have to try it the next time we go :)!β
βHad a lovely experience yesterday! Very family friendly (we had a pram, and they put out a baby change for us). The service was very good. The little finishing touches of bringing cutlery on a plate and sauce on a little side plate, too, made it a more pleasant experience. Food is an amazing value for money! Also full for the entirety of our time there, which I feel speaks volumes!β
βWhat a fantastic spot for a bite to eat. Great food, good prices and very friendly staff. A proper roadside cafe as it should be.β
βA fantastic selection of sweet and savouries with really friendly staff. The best egg custard I have ever tasted and I have tasted a few, believe me!β
βThe owners of the cafe are very nice ladies, friendly to everyone and they serve food themselves. I liked the fet cheese on sourdough (with avocado and nuts), and also the egg on sourdough was lovely. Feels like home. Definitely recommending itβ
βVisited for the first time this week. It is clearly a favourite with many as diners were very familiar with the owners. The food was amazing. We each had the Thalia and it was delicious and great to try a range of dishes. We will definitely be back.β
βAmazing restaurant with truly delicious Polish food! The Zrazy were done perfectly and tasted just like home. What really stood out was the hospitality, the owner gave us the warmest welcome weβve ever received in the UK. Canβt wait to come back!β
βWe were hoping for something a little different for a treat and after finding this place rang before ordering to check they could accommodate a very picky child. They were incredibly friendly and polite on the phone, the food was still hot when it arrived and was packaged really well (even the hot chocolate survived an uber driver getting lost). It was absolutely delicious, roasts were crispy, meat melted in your mouth, and the gravy and Yorkshires were perfect. Honestly couldn't fault a thing if we wanted to.β
βIt's taken us ages to actually get round to booking a table but decided to take our friend here for his birthday. We were really impressed with the food and the service. I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and the chips and onion rings were amazing. The rest of the meals were great and it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff were lovely. To top it off they even brought out a surprise dessert with a candle on for the birthday boy. Thanks for a great meal.β

βThoroughly enjoyed food and drink at this establishment a few days ago. Great range of pies with choice of sides. Food tasted great and ample portions. Lovely, efficient staff.β
βWe booked for a 1pm lunch as were told can be very busy, and they were! Very attentive and friendly staff. Top quality food, all homemade, with good serving portions. Good tea and coffee, with a generous size tea pot! The puddings are fantastic. I can recommend the cornflake tart with custart or ice cream. There is a little farm shop there and the pricing was very reasonable which resulted in us taking a few items home for another day. (A lot of farm shops Iβve visited can be very, very expensive). Carparking in a little car park at the front just off the road. It is some what limited, but road parking is possible. The facilities are modern, clean and kept in good condition. Itβs a really nice place to eat looking out at the ponies in the manΓ¨ge. Ideal for anyone who loves ponies. Dogs are welcome at the seating outside, there are quit a few places to chose from. Some under cover. Weβll definitely return. Can recommend.β
βDelicious Thai food at Tom Yum Thai Kitchen. We ordered the set menu so shared a platter with five starters including spring rolls and gyoza, everything was really tasty. The mains were chicken in oyster sauce, beef massaman curry and a duck dish. Everything was well presented and tasted so good. We were staying locally for the weekend and specifically drove to Belper to find this place after hearing good things! It was very busy for a Sunday, I imagine with it being a bank holiday weekend, so the staff were rushed off their feet, but were still brilliant. Just a note about the toilets which are up some stairs and down a corridor; the restaurant is located in a converted mill.β
βWe actually got a take away so I can't comment too much about the atmosphere, however a dainty, small Italian joint is exactly where I imagine i'd be if I was somewhere in Italy. The food was fantastic, I've known the restaurant was there for 5+ years during my time at Derby Uni and last night was the first time I had ever set foot. We ordered a starter, two pastas and a pizza and I'm impressed. Will definitely be back!β
βWe visited today for my birthday and oh my goodness it's was brilliant. Absolutely fantastic service from a very friendly guy (didn't get his name!) from the minute we walked in. So refreshing to have a waiter who does things so well. Cocktails were lovely and well made and the birthday card was a very nice touch. We both had three courses, and finished every last bit of it all! Really delicious. My husband particularly enjoyed the Thai sweet potato soup and I absolutely loved the rump of lamb. The flavours were so fresh and delicious. Felt like a real treat to visit somewhere so lovely. Can't wait to revisit! Thank you!β
βThe whole team from front of house to the chef are absolutely spot on. Really approachable and helpful before our visit to cater for specific needs. A warm friendly environment where you can relax and enjoy great food. It's a little gem of a restaurant run by people who know good food and offer quality serviceβ
βThis is our favourite and go to for a breakfast. The food is always consistently good. The staff are friendly and approachable. Great if you have children as well. It's usually quite busy because it's popular - BECAUSE ITS GOOD. Would recommend to others. Good prices as well. β€οΈβ
βNice big haddock at a good price. Decent chips. Enjoyed.β
