βSuperb authentic cuisine in a unique environment. A real treat for the palate and the eye. Jackie was a most welcoming host. A very enjoyable evening was had in this little gem of a restaurant.β
βI went here at around 11:30am for a Breakfast Cob, I had 2 hash browns, bacon. All was cooked amazingly, hash browns were wonderful and soft and bacon was probably the best I've ever tasted (no joke). Please go here if you need food in Tutbury!β
βStaff were very nice and food was amazing. Generous portions to say the least. Great atmosphere. Lovely place.β
βMyself and my partner were travelling for a Rally and wanted to go up night before. I rang here and they said staying over in Motorhome wasn't a problem as long as we had a meal and drinks which wasn't a problem for us. Rang on the way on Thursday 29/05/2025 to confirm and was told maybe busy due to Classic car show which is held there on Thursday nights (but do ring to confirm this). But we were still welcome. The place as drove in was amazing with big lake view. We parked up and went in and was greeted by friendly, welcoming lovely staff and owners. James and his team really helpful and friendly. We bought drinks which was reasonably priced. We had the carvery which was absolutely amazing and so tasty and hot definitely worth the money. The place is so clean and tidy. The whole building inside and outside is lovely to look at. There is plenty of seating inside and outside with garden seating area overlooking the lake. Plenty of parking. The walk around the lake was nice and seeing all the ducks and Canadian geese. There is fishing allowed and rules which are in view. We are hoping to stop here again in few weeks. So if travelling and want to stop for night give them a ring. Cannot fault this place. Definitely going again and recommend. Reading the history of the building is interesting. Nice village to travel through. We woke to amazing view and so quiet in the night.. They also cater for various functions..β
βAmazing venue, the decor is a riotous mixture Hollywood and middle east the food is Amazing and great value for money, The thing that really makes it special is the warmth of the welcome from the super friendly, helpful and perfectly polite staff in particular Navpreet who was too modest to appear in the pictures.β
βBeen there 3 times now and can say everytime I have gone the food has been amazing! I have been with company too. We've tried the pizza, burgers, hot honey chicken, beef stroganoff and all of it has tasted so good. The chef's are so talented. For the cost and for what it is, it's just presented perfectly to me. Keep going!β
βWe hadn't visited for a few year's, but I used to bring my grandmother regularly for lunch before she went in a nursing home. Booking there today after her funeral was the perfect farewell. We booked a table for 7 people, we had a mixture of the main menu and the festive menu. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and excellent value for money. It was a lovely atmosphere and we had the loveliest of servers. Thank you so much, we will make sure we return more oftenβ
βI recommended everyone who wants to do small get together like bday parties for 25-30 people we really enjoy alot food, their service and environment as well. Everything so so good also staff was really nice. Thanks for making our day special.β
βLovely little place tucked away off the Main Street. The food was lovely, lamb and mint burger pictured. The staff were so friendly and accommodating.β
βWe hired The Little Kitchen for our works Christmas night out, and Donna and her team never fail to impress. They are so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely canβt do enough for you. We had the turkey Christmas dinner, which was absolutely delicious β a proper home-cooked meal with plenty of veg options. The red cabbage was especially amazing! There were two dessert choices, and I went for the chocolate one, which was so nice. They even let us bring along our own silly team games, which was perfect for our very competitive group. This was our second year returning, and we honestly wouldnβt find anywhere better for quality food and such a warm, friendly atmosphere. Thank you once againβ
βBeautiful restaurant, they have special prices during the week. Nice selection of dishes, drinks menu is good and cocktails taste great.β
βGood, polite service and delicious food. Tablecloths on the tables were clean as was everything else. The salmon starter was quite a small portion, but the mains were big portions to balance it out. The veg that came with the Sunday lunches was all delicious. Would highly recommend the restaurant.β
βGreat value for money ,really nice bacon sausage egg cob for breakfast , clean place aswell.β
βFirst visit to Fannyβs, nice easy to reach location but on the cusp of the countryside. Perfect for cyclists etc. We had the Cooked breakfast which was to die for. You can certainly tell it is locally sourced. Generous portions as well. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.β
βGreat Sunday lunch and genuine great service. We went in to see what it was like before booking out the place for a wedding nearby. Loved the food canβt wait to return!!β
βThis was our first visit after 10+ years of visiting Barton Marina. Wonderful food, quick and attentive staff and lovely ambience. Visited at 6pm on a Sunday evening. It was fairly quiet but we had booked a table just in case. Food is truly excellent. We had the Thai Marina Favourite Basket starter followed by Gaeng Massaman (chicken), Chu Chee Gung Yai (jumbo prawn), sticky Thai rice and noodles.β
βAs a group of 39 people we were all seated in the outdoor pods for sunday lunch on 11th November. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were polite and friendly. Once seated, it was a matter of minutes before our drinks orders were taken and we got told our pre ordered food wouldn't be long. Considering the size of our group and the pub itself was extremely busy, it was impressive how quickly we all got served. The staff were amazing, nothing asked was too much for them! The food was spectacular! With mainly roast dinners being ordered, no one said a bad word about anything. The meat just fell apart and the portions were generous. I would definitely recommend The Bluebell to anyone visiting the area, although I think booking would be the best option as extremely busy!β
βOur booking was for 20 people. The service was efficient and helpful, and everyone was served in good time. Two people ordered the Aubergine dish, but it wasn't to their taste, an exchange was offered, and no charge was made. It was handled very well. Much appreciated how they sorted out the bill for us to pay individually. Excellent!β
βFirst time here, since it's been turned into an Indian based menu. With that the selection was reduced, but the food was really nice. All whilst being quite reasonable. It wasn't too busy and the people there were very friendly. Great experience overallβ
βA pleasant country pub in pretty rural surroundings. I visited with a friend ona busy Friday evening. The staff were friendly, polite, professional and managed that difficult balance of attentiveness and unobtrusiveness perfectly. Both the selection of food available and itβs quality was very good, I will have to go back to try more of the menu soon. There was a wait between ordering and service but that is expected in the context of properly cooked food and I would not want it to change.β
βExcellent pub, fantastic range of real ales.β
βlovely food and great service. Some a good time eating here. Bear in mind Friday can be noisy.β
βGood food, quick service times and very friendly staff. Amazing setting, especially in the evening/nightβ
βpleased to see this pub open its doors again β and itβs better than ever! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a great mix of traditional charm and fresh energy. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely excellent β beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and generous portions that offer real value for money. You can tell thereβs real care and pride going into the menu. Whether youβre stopping by for a casual drink or a full meal, this place delivers on every level. Great food, great atmosphere, and fantastic value β so good to have this gem back in the community! Highly recommended.β
βBest sangria Iβve ever had! Really sweet location next to the river. We didnβt book and just came for drinks and got a seat straight away. The staff were nice. Definitely coming back for more sangria!!β
βThe food was lovely, a perfect portion size, really good quality food and very tasty! It is lovely and welcoming and a bonus of being dog friendly along with getting a Pup cup for our pooch. Atmosphere was so relaxing, I could have stayed in there all day due to how cosy it was. Lovely cafe to visit after our dog walking sessions. It will certainly become a regular for us!β
βThe girls at humbles are amazing, the food is lovely they make the best Sweet chilli chicken and bacon Panini ever! They always go out of their way to make what you like and wont charge you the earth for itβ

βDrove into town to try this place. Really pleased we did. Kebab meat is the best in Burton by a good margin. Fresh cooked with homemade curry sauce. Nan breads fresh as well. Was told they will be on Uber eats this week hopefully as new place. Highly recommend.β
