“I was so close to giving up on finding good pizza in Wakefield. When the top-rated options are Pizza Joy, a takeaway using frozen bases, and Papa John’s, a mainstream chain, it’s hard not to lose hope. I had. But I gave it one last try—enter Basebox. This is the best pizza in Wakefield, and honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the UK. I’m not sure what “style” it is, but I’ve only found something similar once before, all the way up in Durham. If the quality stays consistent, this will be my go-to pizza spot from now on. My only minor criticism is that the dip pots are a little too small—one barely covers a slice—but at 75p a pot, I can let that slide. Congratulations, Basebox, on beating the odds.”

“This was a second visit to an Ivy Asia, I went to St Paul’s London and that was a great experience. Ivy Asia Leeds was a really lovely experience also, great for a special meal, I booked it for a 60th Birthday. Service, food and decor is first class. It is definitely worth a visit and fabulous surprise for a family celebration.”

“Had an amazing meal at Pizza Freak The freakin' carbonara pizza was everything I hoped for and more. The creamy white sauce, smoky pancetta, and perfectly cooked egg brought so much authentic flavour to a pizza, and the quality of the ingredients really shone through. We also started with the tomato basil arancini, and they were outstanding. Crispy on the outside, with a beautifully soft and gooey centre. Everything was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was great and the service was super friendly. This place is a must-visit.”

“Food was nice & fresh. Veggie burger was nice but would be nicer with some more seasoning as it lacked flavour & tasted plain. But nice effort. Pizza was nicely cooked and toppings were generous, pizza base nice too. They gave us free Garlic bread pizza & it was lovely.It was nice gesture & also called to make sure we pick it up in 10 min so the food is freshly prepared to be ready. Nice place and nice people. Would be great if you could add more flavours and seasoning to pizza & burger. Thank you”

“now, let me start this review by saying, i’ve hated pizza all my life. pizza has always been one of those foods i rolled my eyes at once mum said we’d be getting some. me and some mates came here after they begged and spoke of how good this pizza was, and i’ve never been happier about trusting friends. this pizza has changed my life morals and ethics. the soft dough, perfect ratio of sauce to cheese. now i love ordering here for a cheeky slice. the workers? nicest people i’ve ever met. honestly, so kind and quick, even on a busy friday.”

“Really really good takeaway place. I eat loads of takeaways in Leeds and this is the topboy at the moment. Pizzas have alot of toppings and are very tasty, all the sides I've had are excellent and even the dips are higher quality than other takeaways. It's a little bit dearer than some takeaways but the quality is also much higher. Arrives hot and on time. It's worth the binge.”

“Had my hair cut by Megan today. I am very particular about who cuts my hair and generally have to wait for my hairdresser to come over from Portugal to cut it. I absolutely love my cut. She was brilliant, kept checking what she was doing was alright with me, did I like the length, was happy to cut more and follow what I asked for. Don't even get me started on having my hair washing! I may just book once a week for that alone, the head massage was perfect. Cut and Blow dry for £21! I will be back, thank you Megan, highly recommend you”
