“Had a lovely meal here. Had the gigantes (giant beans). These are my favourite and these did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. For mains I had souvlaki. Generous portions and the meat was juicy and tender.”
“Had two kebabs here now, a triple decker and a donner meat. Both times excellent service and very friendly, the triple decker had a nice selection of meats and the guys in there remembered me the second time I came which was nice.”
“Late night call in after a long shift, and just what I needed! Homemade naan filled with donner meat & salad, mixed with a delicious yogurt dressing Highly recommended”
“Nice shop on Wakefield town centre. Alot of hype regarding it's social media posts. Owner was very nice and welcoming. Irrespective of whats happened online or said online; owner is genuinely kind hearted person trying to make his living. Best of luck.”
“Really ni e place to have a bite with African and Portuguese flavours”
“This is our favourite cafe to eat in when we come into Wakefield. The bagels are delicious with a good selection of fillings and bread including gluten free. Today we had a Manhattan and a Moroccan .”
“I drive past here regularly, actually stopped and called in for the first time today. Very nice guy behind the counter, very helpful. Food was very good, just a good old fashioned chippy, I live miles away but will definitely go back. I would recommend this place without hesitation.”
“Wow! What a brilliant find this is! Absolutely delicious food, incredibly friendly and helpful staff without being over the top, and very reasonable prices. Everything arrived in a reasonable time and we never felt hurried to leave after we'd finished eating. Perfect for gluten free needs as well, with lots and lots of (delicious) GF options (well over half the items on the menu were either GF or had a GF version). Will definitely be visiting the next time I'm in the area. Thank you”
“We had: Beef Sunday Dinner Belly Pork Sunday Dinner Steak, chips, pepper sauce The Golden Snitch Rhubarb Eton Mess Earl Grey Panacotta All absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere.”
“Well for a start, you carn’t go wrong calling this pub the little bull. Every window has a blue bull printed on it. At the front of pub is a big blue bull printed on it. The entrance door is blue. The window blinds are blue. Inside the decoris blue. They took out the two log open fires. They took away all the bar stools. Theirs a bandit gambling slot money machine standing at the bar now. Bandit gambling mchines in the pool table room. I got half glass of sparkling cider. I gave a ten pound note to the bar tender. He was busy and looking and talking to his next customer. I had my change nearly thrown at my hand and missed. I was not impressed. I visited the pub a few months ago. I got a pint of John smiths bitter. I took the glass of John smiths outside and sat on the new bench. I was waiting for my bus. The bustop right outside the little bull. My bus came before I had time to drink my John smiths. I got on the bus with my pint of John smiths in my coat pocket. The bus driver did not see me. The manager of the little bull was watching everything. He saw me getting on the bus with a pint glass of John smiths. I was unaware of this. I didn’t mean to do it. I wasn’t thinking straight. Next time I went in the little bull. The manager was ready for me. He said I should be barred. He served me a drink. I have since on my eBay. Bought the manager of the little bull. Pint glass of John smiths. Costing me £8.50.I have it right now and I’m taking the glass down to the little bull today at 2pm. They do not serve cooked food. Or even a cold sandwich. Just crisps and nuts. Round the back of the blue little bull. They have took away all the garden furniture and umbrella shades. All the swings and slide have gone. Their is a couple of benches with no umbrella shades. Thanks for the read.”
“Really nice fish and chips. Never used this place until we were getting our exercise in lockdown and came across it while walking. Use it now everything we pass when out walking. Outside tables also available to sit at. Best fish and chips I have had for ages and each visit is just as good”
“Arguably the best spot for your healthier takeaway in Wakefield - peri chicken is out of this world”
“Never had a bad meal here! Always super tasty, lovely atmosphere staff always pleasant and attentive”
“It may be an Italian in a small village but the food , service and atmosphere is one that belongs in a Michelin Star restaurant. Ameer works front of house and when needs is also a dab hand in the kitchen . His staff whilst local and young are all friendly and it’s great to see a local restaurant employing local staff . The Italian Chef Pepe is amazing and between my fiancé and I we have had the whole menu from salads to steaks , pasta to sorbet and the food is always delicious and exceptional and exceptional value for money . I cannot wait to fetch 40 something of my friends for my Hen Do and introduce them all to the best hidden Italian gem in the county . You were the best find 4 years ago and will continue to be our place to go for special occasions or just like tonight Bob in for tea after a busy weekend.”
“Some of the best fish and chips around by a country mile.”
“Came here for Sunday lunch, very good service, good choice of meals on fixed price menu at reasonable price and quality of the food was excellent. Couldn't really complain about anything. Would definitely go back”
“My daughter postponed spending the night at her friend's on Friday. Because then she wouldn't be able to go to Rustico restaurant. She said she had to go to the restaurant on Friday. She said... I love Rustico.”
“Great pizzas and pasta in a nice area. Good value-for-money lunchtime deal - main and drink for £10.”
“This is a hidden treasure! The food was out of this world and the service has been so lovely. We will definitely returning!!”
“Had such a great evening there. The food was delicious, we loved the options (not too many but quite varied, so great for people with different taste). Would absolutely recommend, will come back!”
“Great Indian restaurant! The food was great: very tasty and spicy and they also have kids meals so you can go with the family! Staff is very nice and helpful, they especially made a typical tea for me although it wasn’t on the menu. Deserts were pre-made and alright and I would have expected more traditional options. But still had a lovely evening!”
“Ordered a meal weds night, it's came in 20 mins piping hot!!! Special noodles were amazing, my husband had special curry with fried rice, salt and pepper chips, prawn crackers. Will be ordering again”
“Well what have we got here? An amazing food eaterie, each dish was full of flavour and i would definitely recommend you order from this place. If I lived in the area I would regularly order from here. Amazing flavours, amazing value.”
“Cash only! Friendly and welcoming Chinese takeaway. Food is nice, didn’t have to wait long even though I didn’t call in advance. Very clean and tidy inside, the plants are well cared for which I always like to see being somewhat of a houseplant addict. I got special fried rice and some spring rolls as was alone. Was really nice. Would recommend.”
“This was the first time that I visited the Yorkshire Brasserie. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you enter the restaurant and our breakfast was well presented and very tasty. For the time being there's no on-site parking, although it looks like this will be remedied in the near future. Notwithstanding there is a car park on the right as you head out of town on the A61 Barnsley Road, there is a charge for parking, but it is free on Sundays.”
“Absolutely amazing, staff were great, place was great and even accommodated a large party on short notice of another venue letting us down. Would recommend to anyone for drinks, food or bookings!! You don't get business owners in public houses like this anymore, Sam, Sharon and the team are a cut above the rest!”

“Thank you so much for a lovely lunch. My first time with my parents, my parents visited last week.i had prawn salad which was gluten free, my parents had soup which was minestrone, plaice very lightly battered, mushy peas and chips followed by rhubarb crumble and custard. Our drinks were a latte, tea and coffee with cold milk. Lula and another lady who served us were wonderful , cannot fault anything. My parents would like me to mention Mia and Molly along with Alison who all were delightful last week. Thank you so much, I will be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
