“Met friends for lunch. Only a small place but very clean and welcoming. Car park not huge and shares premises with another business. . We were asked about our dietary requirements and food was lovely and very favourably priced. There are also items to purchase like cards, balloons and small gifts”

Having read other reviews, yes the store is packed and there is only one narrow pathway in/out but anyone who goes antiquing knows that this is commonplace amongst these kind of stores. “We were greeted by lovely, friendly staff on arrival and instantly loved the décor. But of course, we came for the pies we’d heard so much about – and they did not disappoint! I had the garlic chicken and mushroom pie with mash and peas, and it was absolutely delicious. My partner went for the minted lamb pie with dumplings, mash, and peas, and he was just as impressed. The food is home-cooked, full of flavour, and very reasonably priced. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again!”
