Once you enter the shop you’re introduced by a mix of world class music, paired with top tier customer service. For my first time here it was an experience you would get a michelln star restaurant! Will be going again for many years to come and I recommend AMIGO DERBY to everyone and anyone!”

We turned up late to reception and the guy went out of his way to get us a room suitable for 3 adults. Nothing was too much trouble and we got a fairly good night's sleep. “Ordered a mirror via Click & Collect on 06/11 and went to pick it up, only to realise the car was just a bit too small! Thankfully, Courtney came to our rescue — she was absolutely amazing. She was so patient and friendly, laughed along with my mum and me as we tried all sorts of ideas to make it fit, and went above and beyond to help us. In the end, we managed to get it in the car, and we couldn’t have done it without her”

“Went here after seeing mashtag go and ordered 3 dishes teriyaki chicken which was not very spicy my teenage daughters request it was amazing 9 out of ten then a seabass dish also amazing 8 out of ten my preference don't like citrus then a beef rendang don't no ifs that's spelt write this was a bit spiced and also my daughter who dosnt like spices favourite massive 10 out of 10 all meals were either with rice or noodles but we had both which were cooked beautifully the presentation was eye pleasing apparently they have been there 8 years so not being from derby didn't no about it the staff were brilliant explaining the foods any one who reads this needs to go I don't normally do reviews but think hari hari and it's staff deserve a shout out”

“Gorgeous pizza in a lovely atmosphere plus great tunes as added bonus. They use ingredients from their allotment and stone milled organic grains for their dough which is so tasty even on its own. I had fig and goats cheese, can't express how delicious it is. There's a wide selection of organic wine to sip while you wait. Me and my friends had a great time! (Also the rye chocolate cookies are like heaven).”

“From just looking at the menu the food seems really basic and overpriced and I do find it difficult to justify spending £9.95 on lunch (with the small portion option) but while the ingredients are simple the portion you get for small is filling and as they say the ingredients truly are fresh and delicious. My favourites were the daal and hot potatoes. The main protein I had, chicken breast, seemed bland at first glance but actually tasted very good. Unfortunately I forgot to take additional pictures below the top layer. I think I'd only get this for lunch on special occasions but I think I would get the better value medium for dinner more often, I can't imagine finishing a medium bowl in one sitting. 2: I finally found an excuse to go again and it was really good. I had the salmon this time, which cost £2.50 extra ! It was quite good, a touch fishy. I had the daal, chicken curry, beef rice thingy. It was all quite filling and good.”

“It's taken us ages to actually get round to booking a table but decided to take our friend here for his birthday. We were really impressed with the food and the service. I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and the chips and onion rings were amazing. The rest of the meals were great and it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff were lovely. To top it off they even brought out a surprise dessert with a candle on for the birthday boy. Thanks for a great meal.”

“I am absolutely over the moon with my new kitchen. It is everything I wanted and more. Tim listened to my wants and needs and came up with my perfect kitchen. Neil and Aaron, the carpenters/fitters, did the most amazing job paying so much time to the little details which makes my kitchen so sleek and perfect. I have so many little extras like my cutlery trays and knife trays and pull out larder and non-stick drawer liners and lighting in certain cupboards are just a few to mention. And my pantry is to die for! Tim provided a complete job which included new lighting, plastering, electricians, plumbers. We didn’t have to organize anyone, Tim and Neil did the lot. Absolutely amazing, everything went like clockwork. All deliveries happened when they should and so much care was taken throughout to my home. Every time I walk into my new kitchen I can’t believe it’s mine, it looks like something from a high class magazine. I am so happy, thank you so much to the Creative Team.”

“My recent dining experience at Donington Manor Hotel was a delightful journey of flavours and ambiance. After the complimentary snacks and amuse bouche I started my culinary adventure, with the crab starter. The presentation was a work of art, a testament to the chef's attention to detail. The dish featured a delicate crab accompanied by a zesty tomato essence dressing, which provided a refreshing burst of flavour. The freshness of the crab was undeniable, and the combination of textures, including crispy greens and kohlrabi, made for a well-balanced and satisfying starter. It left me eagerly anticipating what was to come. For my main course, I chose the lamb dish. I was pleased to find that the rump was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent with a beautiful pink centre, whilst the slow cooked lamb shoulder bonbon just melted in your mouth. It was accompanied by a delectable earthy yet creamy courgette puree whilst the pepper puree completed the flavour profile of the dish. The portion size was generous without being overwhelming, and the presentation was once again impeccable. The service throughout the meal was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering wine pairings and answering any questions I had. The pace of the meal was just right, allowing me to savour each course without feeling rushed. Donington Manor Hotel's restaurant exceeded my expectations with its combination of exceptional cuisine and a charming ambiance. I highly recommend giving it a try. I left the restaurant with a satisfied palate and a desire to return to explore more of their offerings.”

“Very helpful and highly recommended if you want a non pushy experience. We have been doing our utility room and kitchen over a period of several years (yes, shush my wife is patient!) and I was going to be doing pretty much all the work. As a consequence of this, we had our own overall design, ideas and goals but what I wanted was something a bit different than picking bits from B&Q etc. but equally didn't want to engage with a company who only wanted to fit everything and charge labour. Equally, I was interesting in finding a company who were prepared to validate our ideas and based upon their experience, give advice in areas which we might not have fully considered and offer suggestions where they have encountered similar problems in the past. After all, this is their day job, it's not mine! We got all of this through working with David and Andrew and were delighted with the constructive help and our end result. At no time was there a hint of sales pushing, which only adds to the other reviews which echo the same. David and Andrew have plenty of experience about what works and what doesn't and if you spend the time and take on board the information that they can provide as part of your build, you'll get a result to be proud of. So, If you want to have a relaxed discussion pop in and chat with David and Andrew, just try to avoid Saturday mornings as they're understandably at their most busy.”

“Myself, my other half and our youngest visited The Stenson Fields for a family meal and were extremely happy with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Everywhere was clean and tidy, including the Toilets. We arrived just before a football match and started in the Bar where we enjoyed a round of drinks, a game of darts and a game of pool. We found it to be a very friendly atmosphere and were pleasantly surprised how engaging the other patrons were, even offering tips on our lacklustre pool skills! We moved through to the Lounge to sit and eat, and every aspect of the meal was fantastic! The Bar staff were helpful and attentive to our needs, taking our food order with no fuss. They were even kind enough to allow modifications to our meals with no drama. The food arrived promptly, was perfectly cooked and was delicious. I had the double Beef Old Faithful with fries & onion rings, my other half had the Gyros Flatbread with Tandoori Chicken and our youngest had a 5oz Rump Steak with waffle fries & onion rings, polished off with a Lemon Meringue Sundae. The meal was topped off with a visit from the Chef who came out to ensure all was expected with the food, and we were happy to thank him for our fantastic meals, which were cooked to perfection and were also very reasonably priced. All in all we can thoroughly recommend The Stenson Fields for a fantastic Family meal!”
