“Enjoyed a quick lunch here before setting off from York. We had the shawarma wrap and plate which were delicious, especially with the garlic and chilli sauces. To start we had the hummus and moussaka which had incredible flavours. The staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely visit again.”

Great welcome by the tea at the bar, checked the reservation and started with a cold drink before afternoon tea and cocktails. “Lovely and very helpful staff every day of the week. Wide range of chilled speciality beers, ciders and craft ales etc. Also includes a extensive collection of fine wines & even finer spirits. The cheap prices are great, better than the local supermarkets. The cigar selection really isn't bad either. Thanks. I'll defo be returning soon!”

“I had a consultation recently with Mr Smith re: upper blepharoplasty. I had wanted this procedure done for many years and had taken lots of time to research clinics anf surgeons. The clinic was very calm and reception staff very welcoming. I found Mr Smith to be very professional, approachable, and personable. He fully explained the procedure and risks/healing journey. After assessing me, he explained he didn't recommend the procedure for me currently and explained the reasons why I wasn't really suitable. Although I was disappointed, (and still am!) as I wasn't expecting that outcome, and had finally plucked up the courage to book a consultant, I appreciated his honesty and sense of professional responsibility and ethical standards. I will definitely book into Coppergate again in the future if I'm considering any other procedures.”

“Visited here as part of York Restaurant Week. That chicken mandi was unbelievably tasty, can tell the right amount of seasoning was used. I could see the restaurant owner adjusting the lights to enhance the dining atmosphere, which I find very nice. I also had a soup with a spicy kick to it. Like others have commented, I never tried Yemeni food so made it even better.”
