“What a lovely and professional dance school. Two of my daughters attend this dance school. One is 7 and the other 2. They both absolutely love it at Starlight and have learnt so much! Even the 2 year old!! My 7 year old was very nervous about starting as she had been to two other dance schools previous since she was 18 months old The first one was great but she didn’t have the best experience at the second so when she joined starlight she was very nervous plus she didn’t know anybody which wasn’t helping. However the teachers and the other students made her feel so welcome and she now loves dancing again thanks to the family feel of the school. She has made a wonderful group of friends (her dancing friends) and she loves all of the teachers. Thank you for all of the opportunities you are giving my two little girls and for all the excitement and encouragement (and patience for teaching poppy!!) you give them. “Such a wonderful dance school with a family feel! My daughters have been Dancing with Helen Guy since they were tiny and absolutely love their lessons. It’s not like other dance schools! Such a wonderful warm group of friendly students who really look out for each other. The older student teachers are so wonderful with the younger children and they really look upto them. We feel proud to be part of such a wonderful school and the annual show blows me away year on year with the talent and love that goes into them. Each student is valued the same regardless of if they dance once a week or every night. The teachers are warm friendly and approachable and really care about the students. “I have been part of this dance school since it first started and it is absolutely brilliant! The teaching staff are supportive, patient and always willing to help. Unlike many other dance schools, JK School of Dance has a very relaxed friendly atmosphere which greatly relieves the pressure of exams and dance shows. The variety of subjects to take make it so that there is something for everyone. New pupils quickly feel at ease regardless of ability or shyness. “My daughter Skye has been dancing at the Loughborough Academy of dance since she was 2.5 years old. She is now 13 years old and has had the opportunity to dance at disneyland paris, London, Blackpool, Drayton Manor, town centre, stock port and various other places. She also does lots of dance festivals in Ibstock, Leicester area. Highly recommend. All the dance teachers commit a lot of their own personal time of which me and my daughter are very grateful of. “Both of my children attend Expressions, taking part in ballet, tap, modern, streetdance, acro and musical theatre. They both absolutely love the classes and enjoy having the opportunity to learn new skills, take exams and perform on stage. They both actually miss it if it is shut for the holidays!!! They say the teachers are friendly, the atmosphere in the classes is really friendly and fun, and they have both made some good friends by attending the school. As a parent I enjoy watching them develop and grow into more confident and happy individuals, watching them better themselves whilst also having fun doing activities which are healthy both physically and mentally. The production that the whole school puts on every two years is the icing on the cake, it is an amazing opportunity for the children to showcase how much they have learnt. Both my children love learning all the new dances, reading scripts and all the extra rehearsals - and even the running around like headless chickens between costume changes - to have the reward of performing to a packed theatre for 3 shows.
