“THE BEST Chinese food I’ve ever eaten! Perfect portions , lots of small plates so great for sharing. I only took one picture of 2 plates but we ordered lots more , I was so excited to eat the food , it tasted delicious will definitely be back and I reccomend the prawn balls the most and the butterfly panko prawns in this photo! “I had a lovely weekend at Marston Croft. I have been a lot of hotels and Bed and Breakfast. This is the best experience so far. Owners Amanda and Graham were super friendly and the house itself is well decorated and Amanda has added a lot of personal touch to make it so warm. It was an exceptional experience esp. with homemade biscuits and hot tea ready upon our arrival. The breakfast served with fresh fruit, local produce sausage and homemade bread. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there and experience their superb hospitality. They have set "the bed and breakfast" to another high level. Will definitely go back. Remember to try Amanda homemade cake - Lemon Drizzle cake... yummy!”

“I haven't been here since I was a teenager! in those days there wasn't even mains electricity! there was a generator out the back in a shed, how things have changed, absolutely lovely place, canalside setting, tasteful decor, stunning views and fabulous food, honestly, the carvery is to die for! I'll post some photos, the food is as good as it looks, the staff are wonderful, friendly and efficient, once you've had you're fill, there's Foxton Locks themselves, an amazing piece of engineering and a fabulous view from the top lock, all in all a great place to while away a few hours and get a fabulous feed”

“Been going back here since Christmas, the place had a period of very hit n miss for the past few years, but since the new manager Mark has taken over things have dramatically improved. The food has always been well cooked, very tasty and good sized portions. The staff are very friendly and welcoming too. Keep up the good work. Food is 2 dishes from the £of The staff are really great, very friendly and talkative and always welcoming with a smile. Update 31/8/24. Mark the manager resigned, and the atmosphere in the pub has changed. No friendly smile or greeting when you walk in like we used to get. Waited over an hour for food and it wasn't overly busy. Food was still good though. But the pub has definitely lost its spark.”

“This place is next to the pub and offer a different menu with tea , coffee and afternoon tea available with preseco as well as good selection of light bites. We have there meat platter which was large and tasty and also their goat cheese salad which my wife said was delicious. Seating in, and out perfect for a Sunday afternoon.”
