“What an amazing hidden gem of a restaurant! We ordered the three-course set menu, and every dish was delicious. The best naan bread i've ever had too! The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommended!”

“I stayed in Derby for 4 days for work and I only wish I’d discovered this place at the beginning of the stay. I’m on a bit of a low carb kick and all I could find in Derby was pizza or fast food. The food here was absolutely delicious and fresh, the Greek salad was perfect with a large chunk of feta on top, the skewers were cooked to perfection. The chap who served me was friendly and very helpful and the restaurant itself was lovely, I opted for takeaway as I was in a rush but I’d definitely sit in there on any future trips”

“Was excited to try The Windmill as it’s under new management. Went for Sunday lunch with my young family. The service and ambience was lovely. The food was superb. We turned up late to reception and the guy went out of his way to get us a room suitable for 3 adults. Nothing was too much trouble and we got a fairly good night's sleep. “I've been put off from ordering due to negative reviews for some time but tonight thought I'd just give it a go So I'm specifically looking for freshly grilled chicken and lamb on the skewer over a flame grill. Something I used to get at TJs in Leicester many moons ago. The key elements for me is never old meat sitting in a bain Marie and the option for grilled onions and peppers. So here's what you get. The most succulent, delicious and perfectly barbecued chicken and lamb straight off the skewer. Perfectly marinated and cooked fresh. The option of grilled peppers and onions and absolutely incredibly delicious barbecued mushrooms for just only £2 extra. The naan bread was soft and delicious and perfectly crisp on the outside. Generous portion of salad and delicious. Slightly crispy but perfectly pickled peppers. Food arrived. Piping hot and can only wait at 10 out of 10. This is by far my new favourite kebab place in Derby. We will be ordering again!”

“This is the best KFC,although I wouldnt Class it as Derby, probably class it more as willington as it's closer. Drive thru and sit down. Very fast service. No sooner have you handed your money over they're handing your food over too! Order correct all the time so far, piping hot and done to perfection. KFC at Derby Meteor centre , Wyvern and Foresters all got the orders wrong and the chicken was all bone and burnt to a crisp!! So Stick to the Derby/willington KFC.”

“Went here after seeing mashtag go and ordered 3 dishes teriyaki chicken which was not very spicy my teenage daughters request it was amazing 9 out of ten then a seabass dish also amazing 8 out of ten my preference don't like citrus then a beef rendang don't no ifs that's spelt write this was a bit spiced and also my daughter who dosnt like spices favourite massive 10 out of 10 all meals were either with rice or noodles but we had both which were cooked beautifully the presentation was eye pleasing apparently they have been there 8 years so not being from derby didn't no about it the staff were brilliant explaining the foods any one who reads this needs to go I don't normally do reviews but think hari hari and it's staff deserve a shout out”

“Wow! Caught a last minute booking for the ten course - yes TEN - tasting menu. Fab-u-lous! Something so wrong yet right about starting with the unmistakable taste of a Big Mac from the first course but we then cantered through so many creative and sumptuous dishes, each painstakingly presented and introduced by her enthusiastic and friendly team. Start with a cocktail and then enjoy taking your time with the wide choice of wines to suit all tastes (and budgets). We went with a Montrachet as it was a special occasion and the food deserved a wine to match. But please don’t make a reservation - it was hard enough to get one this time!”
