“Absolutely the best restaurant not just in Merseyside but in the country. It is unique with only about 16 diners, and an ever changing menu with a chef that is just amazing. Every time we go, we always say it's the best meal we have ever had, tasting the food is just the most wonderful experience. The inside decoration is incredible as well, you feel like you are in an incredible mixture of opulence and a beautiful relaxing atmosphere. Pauline is an incredible host as are her team. We will continue to go there and take our friends whose eyes light up when they walk in and then for a second time when they taste the food. Don't think, just book a table, this is a bucket list experience.”

“Me and my family absolutely love this cafe. We enjoyed it when the previous owners had it, but since the new owners have taken over, it's really taken it to the next level. All the staff are so friendly, the food is amazing (especially the homemade quiche) and it's always a great atmosphere.”

“Came here for brunch here on Friday 27th before a local appointment. We had tried to go both Morrisons & M&S Cafe before we came here but both weren’t serving food! Just as well as Rise & Grind were more than happy to serve us and provide us with a really fantastic brunch. Food was excellent and service was top. I had the Full English and my wife had the Sourdough with prosciutto parma ham. She said hers was delicious as well. Many thanks to the staff (for the food and for just being open!!) and hope you have a great New Years. Will definitely be back when we are next in Liverpool seeing the family.”

“Really enjoyed the food didn't wait long. The staff were lovely especially the man who served me. He saw me getting a bit flustered with ordering (my youngest daughter has issues with food and is extremely hard to order for) and he was willing to help me by customising some food so that she would eat it and he didnt have to. she did eat it, which in itself was an achievement. I highly recommend this place.”

“Lovely little cafe in New Brighton. I went for the mega brekkie, which includes Ulster fry which you don't see very often. Was 9.00 for the brekkie and coffee. Place was very clean and a nice ambient atmosphere. Partner had a wrap which was well presented and packed with food. She said it was the best milky coffee she's had. Will be back.”

“By far the best butty shop around. Staff are so hard working and really friendly and most importantly the shop is immaculate. Absolutely love this place and The food is really tasty. Lots of variety too for those who have a strict diet.”

“Fairly frequent visitors here and never disappoints! Cannot praise the staff and cooks enough, service always great and the food always good. Ordered Birria tacos, Diablo burger and some tapas for the table and was honestly one of the best meals me or my partner have ever eaten out - silence at the table bc we were enjoying it so much that didn’t want to stop to have a chat hahaha. Absolutely 10/10 can’t wait to come back (again)”

“Had another lovely meal at Portofino. We were seated opposite the sea view. The general atmosphere in the restaurant is serene, a lot of effort has been made to create an authentic Italian feel. The food as always was top quality, a taste sensation and is very reasonably priced. I would recommend to anyone for romantic dining or even with the family or work fucntions. Tip- Make sure you order a garlic bread with cheese, it's too good not to!”

“I picked up food from here this evening for takeaway. We had 1x halloumi kebab & 1 chicken kebab + chips and it was all amazing! The chicken was juicy and full of flavour and their bread is better than any bread in the area and came free. We used to use this restaurant often when we lived around here but moved away but we will definitely be back. Also the guy who served me on the front desk was really friendly and welcoming and definitely knew his stuff.”

“A new restaurant! Always like to give a new place a go. Perfect for either a group or couple. The food was lovely however the main was brought over and I hadn't yet finished my starter. The staff were lovely, I will be planning a revisit.”
