“We tried this place because of the 4.7 star reviews on Google reviews and it more than lived up to its rating. The food was incredible!! Seriously the best food I've had on Edgware Road. The mix grill was exquisite and grilled to perfection. The mixed shawarma wrap was served in the bread they make at the restaurant and was fantastic. Excellent service from the young lady waiter. The bill was very reasonable for the quality of food served. Please give this place a go if you're on Edgware Road!”

“We had a wonderful experience at Darna restaurant. The waiter was very kind and served us so many delicious starters, we were full before even starting the mains! The mains were absolutely delicious too and I loved he mango juice I ordered. Really enjoyable experience and we were even served free tea and baklawa which was very nice of them since it was Eid. “Every time we tried anything new from this place was great. And just the usual chicken shawarma, that you would think you would get bored of, it's just amazing. The way they cook and marinade that chicken makes it juicy and very tasty. They made their own app, which is easy to use, though it has a bit of a delay but nothing too annoying and the deliveries are quick and w/o delays. Eating in is great as well, i just want to give a shout-out to Elif who is a great waitress and always smiling even when 5 people order with her at the same time(should get a raise probably). Again, the food looks amazing and tastes amazing. Shout-out to the chefs as well, they do a great job too and they are always busy and somehow still get the food on time. Well done guys!”

“Absolutely loved the food. Everything was perfect. From the complimentary lentil soup starter to the traditional tea, thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The meat was perfectly seasoned and grilled. The bread was scrumptiously soft and fluffy. The salads and condiments were all really flavourful. Could not fault a thing. The food service was really fast. Staff was courteous. Very good value for money and generous portions. Will be visiting again and recommending to all my friends and family”

“My first evening in London after a long journey I ate at HAWLER. This was the best decision I made that day. The restaurant is bustling with a nice atmosphere and very hospitable staff. I had the lamb and chicken tikka and before even ordering I already had received a complimentary bowl of lentil soup, which was very delicious and lovely to warm up from the cold outside. The meal was wonderful as the charred meat was rich, tasty and tender. The table was so full with all kinds of extras to eat with the meal, something I am not used to but enjoy greatly. Very affordable price, I would recommend anyone in the area to check this restaurant out. First and definitely not last time I am having Iraqi cuisine!”

“Loved, loved this place! We sat outside and had the meze for two was absolutely delicious. The lamb sambousek was a standout, the best I’ve had so far. We also enjoyed the double apple shisha. The staff were very sweet, and the whole vibe of enjoying Lebanese cuisine on Edgware Road made the experience even better. Highly recommend!”

“Came here with a friend for lunch & was greeted by a friendly waiter who seated us. Has a very wide variety on menu & good prices. Good arrives pretty quickly & is very fresh & tasty. Good portion sizes as well. Waiter explained the options available with the skewers which was either 2 with chips or rice or 3 with bread & sauces. We asked if salad serves with meal & he said no but could order a side salad as well which was lovely & fresh. This came with our starters which was not a problem. When mains came they were served with a lettuce & raw onion as well as bread with a spicy sauce which made the meals very filling in now . Unfortunately we could not eat all but definitely great value for money. The only slight thing that let down service was when asked if we were finished we said yes & for the Fatayer to be packed for takeaway. At this point I would have expected the waiter to clear our table but instead we were left seated with our unfinished plates. Would have been nicer experience if they had been cleared away & not left until after we had paid bill & left. Despite this small let down would come back again as food was very good.”
