I also loved that the café is dog-friendly—this was my first time bringing a family dog to a café, and the staff made it such a welcoming and relaxing experience for both people and pets. “I’ve been to FLK so many times and I have never had a bad experience. The owner is the definition of lovely and dedicated to not only making sure you get everything you came for, but also educating you on different ways of how to use the ingredients. The store may be small, but it’s packed with such variety and a constant stream of new ingredients. Even though I’ve moved away from Catford, I still make the journey to get my Asian groceries from here and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.”

“Wonderful. That probably doesn't do it justice. The location is idyllic. The house is gorgeous and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We sat outside as it was a lovely day with a spectacular view across the valley. We went for the set menu. It's not cheap but actually it's not unreasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. A few surprises (ants - deliberately - on the sushi) which were utterly delicious. We had different choices and every one of them was fantastic. Service was brilliant - friendly and informative - and the whole experience was unrushed, relaxed and sublime. Couldn't have had a better celebration of our anniversary. I also can't reccommend it enough.”

The chicken was tasty with crispy breading, the rice texture was ideal, and the flavour of the sauce tasted authentic.
