“Great German food and beer (Paulaner and Erdinger). We came to see the River Culture Festival, not easy to get a table on terrace (also cannot book a table in terrace - first some first serve), so we sit inside at the beginning but then we eventually got a table. We had currywurst, black forest and apple strudel, Oh my God all are delicious! We definitely will come back one day for beautiful river view on the terrace and the food.”

“I went to Giggling Squid – Kingston upon Thames for my birthday. It wasn’t busy as it was a weekday, and I absolutely loved it! The staff were so polite, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere was calm with beautiful décor — lovely colours, chandeliers, and paintings. Everything was very clean and stylish, including the toilets. The seafood dishes were delicious, and although I had the lamb shank which wasn’t my favourite, it was still tasty. Perfect place for nice birthday photos and a great dining experience!”

“Ranya Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a warm, inviting atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The service is attentive, respectful, and genuinely caring without ever feeling rushed. The food is absolutely delicious, and my favorite dish was the Pacha Tashreeb. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, with amazing depth of taste. The bread soaked up the broth beautifully, making every bite comforting and satisfying. You can really tell it’s made with care and authentic tradition. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and ideal for families or casual dining. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality is excellent. I highly recommend Ranya Restaurant, especially if you want to try an outstanding Pacha Tashreeb. “Very nice Thai food in a slightly quieter street in Kingston. We were the first people in on a Saturday evening, so the service was very prompt and friendly. We ordered Pad Thai, Grilled Chicken and plain Jasmine Rice — along with a Tiger Lager and some Jasmine Tea. Pad Thai was very nice, with not much spice, and they did give you the option to add heat with chilli flakes which were on the side of the plate. The grilled chicken had lovely flavour with nice crispy bits of skin, but the salad was fairly spicy. Definitely recommend if you're into Thai or other Asian cuisines.”

“We had a great mother's Day lunch here. The staff was very accommodating and friendly to our large group with young children. Food has a very homemade feel to it. The seafood tagliatelle was fantastic and so were the cocktails. Rissotto and steak dishes left much to be desired. Nonetheless - overall a good experience”

“The food here is delicious and authentic. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s one of my go to places to have dinner, out. I highly recommend the Stir Fried Glass noodles dish with beef as well as any Pho. The portions are also a great size and the staff is always kind, friendly and quick.”

“We order the large pizza, you can half and half of different types. We had it to take away, but you can order and get delivered or dine in. Really noce and authentic Italian pizza. The dough was thin and ingredients were great quality. The place looked clean and service was very kind. Hopefully next time we'll be dining in. Highly recommend the pizza.”

“Went here for my sisters birthday, we normally go Persian palace but as we are in the area, we thought to give this place a try. Service is as amazing, can’t remember the name of the waitress but she was professional, helpful and offered suggestions. Food was good, service good, chocolate cake was good and it was in a great location.”

“Location is good and parking is reasonable near by. We parked at the carpark by premier inn and ncp, open car park. We were going to see Craig David in Circuit and wanted to eat before. This is literally opposite the station,a few minutes walk from circuit. We had eaten here before but not for early dinner. It was fantastic then and cannot fault anything. The service is amazing and we did walk in so expected to wait . It was busy but we did not wait long. They cleared a table for 2 and we looked at the menu within minutes. We were not rushed at all. The drinks came straight away and we were ready to order. Every thing is fresh and tasty. The price is very reasonable. Highly recommended for all”

“I am really surprised this place hasn't got a higher rating. Delicious food, good service, all well presented. A friend took me for my birthday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Had the mixed starter platter and red curry. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Nicely decorated inside, also has some outdoor seating with great river views.”

“This place changed hands recently (late 2023), so the previous photos and reviews are no longer relevant. It is still a Korean restaurant, now called Yami. It now has Korean BBQ, Sushi, Korean fried Chicken, Bibimbap etc. It does lack some dishes the old place had (no Gimbap or udon soups) but is still good food and inexpensive. £20 for half a fried chicken and Bibimbap.”

“Very ‘authentic’ HK style dimsum - love it here! A little bit pricey, but hey it is Kingston after all! Lucky to have this spot as a local restaurant. They have changed owner / name of the restaurant recently- FYI. Fav dishes so far - the siu mai, har gau, pork buns, custard cream buns and the pork pastry. Decent beef hor fun.”

“Brilliant restaurant that has survived here since 1982 under the same ownership. One of the oldest in the area, that says a lot. Service is good, have drinks on drafts and prices are reasonable. They accommodated us very late on Boxing Day and most importantly the food was great, at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.”

Nafí and team were very helpful from the start, helping with menu sampling, organising menu adaptations for vegan, food allergies etc, professional and friendly service on the day. “We are sushi lovers and always looking for a great sushi places. This place is very local for us, so we decided to give it a try. As we understood place opened recently, food quality is amazing, lots of ingredient and everything is super fresh! As started we took aubergine (on the photo), just delicious and then we went for rolls only, 4 in total and I cannot tell which one was better, all amazing. Guys, please don’t get worse with the time. Please keep the same food quality. Can’t recommend this place enough and looking forward to come back.. tomorrow ;)”

“This place is fantastic. Vietnamese food in general is one of my favourite cuisines, and this place encapsulates that at a very very decent and affordable price. If this place stayed open later I would probably find myself having this waaay to much, and I think it'd end up being a borderline addiction. With the market closing at 5, I often miss it, so I only get it once or twice every few weeks. Massively recommend this place, even above the Pho restaurant just around the corner which charges alot more!”
