“I had a New Ford Puma that was getting stone chips every time I took the vehicle out. I have had plenty of New Fords but never had anything like this. Less than 2000 miles, not driven on the motorway at high speeds, yet I had 8 chips on the bonnet and 2 on the drivers door. The team at C&D established it was a fault with the base layer of the paint and then helped me get Fords to cover the cost of a new bonnet (big thanks Paul Stokoe ) and a partial respray under warranty. Without their help I would have had to part pay for the repair (£600). They risked losing a lot of Ford business just to help me. They really went above and beyond. I am a pretty fussy customer (40 years as an automotive engineer) but what a superb job they did. A perfect match and now 17000 miles and 18months later the only chips I have are on the only panels they did not repair. I highly recommend them, whilst I hope I never need them again, it is good to know they are there if I do!”

Turned out to totally be a false alarm, but the guys here saw me right away, even though I had no appointment. They were immensely generous with their time and energy and were un-patronising and very patient with something that turned out not to be a problem. If I lived closer, I'd make this my regular garage. As I don't, I just hope that whenever I do eventually have an actual problem with my tyres, I'm somewhere nearby.
