The brunch menu is simply amazing, offering a variety of colorful dishes that are not only visually appealing but also generously portioned. I had the pleasure of trying the egg shakshuka, potato rosti, avocado smash toast, matcha cappuccino, and pancakes. Among these, the egg shakshuka and matcha cappuccino stood out as my favorites. The flavors were rich and satisfying, and the presentation was top-notch. I also want to mention the fantastic staff who were incredibly helpful with the menu and provided quick, attentive service throughout my visit.”

“What a wonderful cafe. Situated near Epping forest and next to a pub this cafe was a gem. Staff were so friendly and helpful was a pleasure. Ordered a cappuccino and a salt beef sandwich. The coffee was piping hot and the sandwich was overflowing with meat and super tasty. Lots of parking spaces nearby. Will return in the summertime.”

Located on the High Road, this charming spot has been a local favorite since 1985, and it’s clear why. The vibe is warm, inviting, and effortlessly stylish, blending cozy and upscale perfectly – great for a relaxed midday meal. The menu is packed with options, from hearty sandwiches to fresh salads and comforting classics. I went for the Chicken Escalope sandwich, and it was on point – tender, perfectly cooked chicken in a soft granary roll with crisp lettuce, cucumber, and a zesty lemon mayo that made every bite pop. My buddy chose the lasagna, served piping hot with golden fries and a fresh side salad – classic comfort food done right. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with generous portions and bold flavors. The staff were a real highlight – super friendly, attentive, and full of warmth. Joseph, in particular, stood out, greeting us with a genuine smile and keeping everything running smoothly, even as the place hummed with lunchtime diners. Our drinks arrived quickly, perfectly complementing the meal, and the service was flawless throughout. Molens Brasserie is an awesome spot for lunch, whether you’re dining solo, with friends, or with family. The quality, atmosphere, and stellar team make it a standout in Loughton.”

“We held my son's 4th birthday here on Sunday and the whole experience from start to finish was brilliant. The owners are so helpful, organised and make everything very easy. On the day I didn't have to think of anything but bringing the cake and balloons - they served a great buffet for the kids, cut the cake and packed it into the party bags. My son and his friends had an amazing time together and I can't thank the team here enough. Highly recommend.”

“Visited this evening for the first time. Lovely authentic food. Excellent friendly service. You could taste all the flavours and freshness of all the ingredients. Will be recommending to my friends and family, and definitely visiting again. Its not local to us (About 7-8 miles) but definitely worth the trip. We had Tikka , Korma and Butter Chicken, with the best naan breads ive ever tried. The mince samosas we had as a starter were also crisp and lovely and not greasy or overpowering at all. Gem of a place!”

“Absolutely wonderful place! A large group of us needed an open,welcoming space with delicious well priced food & we found The Lounge! Nothing was too much trouble. We went 2 weeks on the trot as a large group they reserved the back seating for us. Such lovely ladies who served us. Friendly & caring! It's my new favourite place to eat when in the area. “Really impressed with the quality of the food. Poached chicken tarragon ciabatta was very good. Soft chicken, top flavours. Turkish ciabatta (lamb sausage, ham and egg) was brilliant. Very different. Both ciabattas were well filled. Very good prices too, you're looking about 50% cheaper than molans for as good if not better quality. Staff were great and really food with the baby.”

“Smashing place friendly staff, very pleasant place to be. Ideal location if you want to go for a walk and then get a decent cuppa and a snack before you head for home. Public toilets nearby.”

“We are regular and getting to know some of the regulars. Enjoy a sausage sandwich burger or healthy sandwich. For your doggy friends sausage for them too Now winter we can only come weekends. But it is open from 9 everyday CASH ONLY. Still customers looking bewildered when they are told. It is written on the counter and one on the menu board. Seating outside only. But Brolly on almost all tables.”

“Lovely atmosphere from the moment we walked in. Food was delicious and the wait time was very reasonable we didnt even feel like we were waiting. We were served by some really lovely ladies who made us feel very comfortable. There was a live singer while we were there which was exciting. Everything on the menu is halal and they were happy to serve me a mocktail version of any of the drinks on the menu!”

“We held our work Christmas Party here last night (38 people!). I can't say enough good things about it. From the whole booking process through to the brilliant service on the night, the team at TD&H did an exceptional job. The food was delicious and came out perfectly timed (not easy with a party of 38), the drinks never stopped flowing, there were plenty of staff to look after us and (icing on the cake) there was great live entertainment after the meal, which meant we felt like it was a proper party. Thanks so much to the team - we are really grateful for a wonderful evening.”

“Unbelievable food! Proper home cooked meal for good value 100% will be back for some winter grub. Good choice of drinks, wine glasses aren’t the best if you’re a wine glass snob like me but other than that can’t complain at all. Really nice pub we will be back. Staff are really friendly but had to ask twice for the bill and still ended up paying at the bar. Only negative to say.”

“Thai restaurant in the Epping forest with outdoor and indoor seating and lots of parking. With wide range of options in the menu and the taste is really good and authentic. Service was friendly and fast. This is a definitely must try Thai place with family.”

“Nice quiet space and a good variety of pastries, toasties abd great variety of hot drinks, frappes, iced lattes, smoothies. I ordered the pistachio and salted caramel frappe with whipped cream on top. It was sweet enough for me so asked for a bit more syrup and they did. Very nice.”
