A cosy restaurant with lovely decor and those authentic Italian vibes! Wonderful service from our server who was helpful, efficient and very friendly. The food is phenomenal. Real Italian food! We enjoyed the Margherita pizza, mushroom and cheese arancini and the chocolate cannolis! Soooo tasty. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in Guildford looking for real genuine Italian food, with a homely feel. “I went to Yvonne Arnaud Theatre to see the show Murder At Midnight starring Max Bowden from EastEnders and I had a wonderful time, it was an incredible experience to see Max and the rest of the cast perform live as it has always been my dream to see Max perform as I have been a fan of his for many years now so it was a special experience for me. We had front row seats which made the experience even more special too. Yvonne Arnaud is a wonderful little venue with great seating for shows and the cafe is lovely too, with delicious food and drinks and beautiful views across the river. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. Thank you Yvonne Arnaud for a wonderful show and for making my dreams come true with watching Max Bowden perform live, I send my gratitude to Max and the rest of the cast of Murder At Midnight for a fantastic show that I will remember forever!”

“I was introduced to this Beijing restaurant by a Malaysian friend, and I was truly impressed. The food here is very authentic you can taste Malaysian flavours, Hong Kong-style dishes, and traditional Chinese flavours as well. I believe they must have chefs from different backgrounds, because they manage to deliver such a wide range of delicious and authentic dishes. The service is excellent too. The staff are polite, friendly, and very efficient. You can tell that the management is responsible and pays attention to the details, whether it’s clearing tables or serving dishes. Everything feels well organized and professional. I also really enjoyed the karaoke section. After dinner, it’s a great place to relax, sing, and have a small gathering with friends. The system works smoothly, the song selection is up to date, and overall it adds a fun and lively atmosphere to the restaurant. The restaurant is very clean and has a classy, almost five star feel compared to many places in the area. Overall, great food, great service, and a great environment. Highly recommended!”

“I received a lovely warm welcome in store. It looked and smelt devine. It’s just so beautiful inside. I browsed happily in a relaxed unhurried way. I was offered help but preferred to look myself. This store has a great selection of brands that I hadn’t seen before. It’s a wonderful independent boutique that has so much to offer if you’re looking for something special or some elevated everyday wear. It also has some fabulous resort wear. I was looking for a shirt to dress up and wear with jeans. The Gate Boutique had the perfect crisp white one by Second Female. It is excellent quality, and beautiful soft cotton that looks smart. There were a few I liked and was able to try in a lovely curtained changing cubicle. It was really well priced too. The Gate gives great customer service with just the right amount of friendly attention without any pressure to buy. I came away delighted by my shopping experience and my perfect shirt which is my firm favourite now. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend popping in.”

Each season the colours are always very flattering. I am loyal to this shop partly because the Manager, Ilona, has given me invaluable help over the years. She instinctively knows what will suit me and successfully encourages me to try styles I would not have immediately thought of. I wish there were more shops like this in Guildford.”
