We went to the cinema before, and because I knew we’d be arriving late on a Sunday (3:45) I specified what roast we’d like just incase they were running low. My wife was injured on the way to The Bear, and we couldn’t have been met with more kindness and care. The staff went above and beyond, and Tracy was an absolute gem—warm, genuine, and made us feel like we were staying with friends rather than in a hotel. This stay really highlighted the contrast with one of the sister hotels we visited, which lacked the same warmth and charm. It’s our second time at The Bear—we stayed last year, and although my wife was initially hesitant about staying in a pub setting, she ended up loving it so much that it topped her list for this year’s trip. We noticed several subtle improvements since our last visit—small touches that really add up and elevate the overall experience. It’s clear that care and attention to detail are a priority here. If we had one minor complaint, it would be the limited parking, but it’s a small trade-off for such a welcoming and comfortable stay. Top rated—we’d love to return again.”

“Mr Manic is a brilliant entertainer for both children and adults at his parties. We have used him at the Ashley coe school Christmas disco for several years now and he never fails to bring the house down. He tailors his sets to youngsters in infants as well as the older juniors and gets it just right. I’d highly recommend him for children’s parties. Equally I’ve attended several adult parties where he’s put on a great rave up.”

My particular stylist Jordana has a wealth of experience behind her, is incredibly attentive and never without a genuinely friendly conversation. As someone who would sit down and ask “just make it look good” if I could, Jordana has a way of articulating exactly the styles I want and then executing accordingly. It’s clear that all of the stylists here are at some levels above the usual salon and as such I will continue to recommend friends and family to Hare & Bone.”

“Fantastic place to acquire your favourite beverages. The trio of men who work there are all extremely polite. It's reminiscent of a time when customer service actually existed in retail stores in the UK. The young man will greet you on entry without fail making you feel welcomed immediately as soon as ones foot crosses the threshold of their abode. The older gentlemen is extremely friendly and helpful, always up for a quick chat. The slightly more senior younger man is also incredibly polite, will always ask if you need a bag and one time I was sold an expired vape (2 days expired). The man before the vape had entered my pocket had a look at it, and immediately refunded me. A great attention to detail. I cannot fathom someone not having a great experience at this establishment.”

“Love this coffee shop. Part bicycle shop and part coffee shop. Heaps of cyclists visit. I came for an oat milk flat white and also found the vegan peanut butter cookie bar. Will definitely return! My partner had the espresso and Guatemalan filter.”

“Absolutely wonderful little pub set very much in suburbia. The outdoor seating in the front as we entered was being well used with TVs up for football etc. The barman was very friendly as were the locals inside. And when the sign above the door says 'Mind your head', mind your bloody head!! It hurts!! Anyway, the Guinness was superb as was the Surrey Hills brewery Ranmore.”

Beautiful atmosphere and wide variety of menu options and lots of gluten free options! Alex took such great care of all of us and went out of his way to make sure all of my dishes were celiac friendly! I highly recommend this spot. The Patatas Bravas were particularly delicious! “The lovely pub hosted our daughter's 40th Birthday party in the side room off the main bar. We were able to decorate the room and also to have a local guitarist entertain us together with a fab face painter. Our party was able to order yummy food and drinks from the bar. We had the chicken satay and chicken and chive dumplings for starters, char siu pork and kaarage chicken for main and a coffee and crème brûlée for dessert.
