“such a nice little café and a great addition to the village! went for brunch with a couple of friends and everything was very reasonably priced and tasty - particularly the pancakes (although perhaps provide the syrup in a separate container so people can choose how much they want!). not too busy when we went - midday on a Sunday - so plenty of seating space indoors.”

“Hidden Gem in Angel – Best Coffee Around This is hands down the best coffee shop near my home — a true hidden gem in the heart of Angel. It’s a small, unassuming place with a very down-to-earth vibe, but what really sets it apart is the team. The baristas here are incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about coffee. You can tell they know their craft — and love it. The coffee is always freshly roasted on-site, which makes a huge difference. Every visit smells slightly different in the best way — like a rotating gallery of beautiful coffee aromas. Whether you go for a flat white or a pour-over, the quality is consistently excellent. It’s by far the best cup of coffee I’ve had in Angel. They also offer a lovely selection of cakes and pastries (the banana bread is a personal favourite), and the Wi-Fi is impressively fast — perfect if you need to catch up on some work or reading. You can also buy their beans or ground coffee to take home, which is a real treat. They don’t do much marketing or social media, but they really don’t need to. Word of mouth is more than enough when a place is this good. It’s a spot I always look forward to visiting.”

“This is by far the best café I have ever been to! The menu has a wide range of affordable and delicious items - especially the homemade cakes! All of the staff, especially the owner are kind and accommodating. Myself and my boyfriend spend a lot of time here, revising/studying and are always made to feel welcome here. The decor is beautiful and there are occasionally fun events held here in the evening. If you are in Blackhorse Road or a student situated locally, I would definitely recommend visiting as it is my most favourite place to go to! “So it seems that Friday is fish and chips day ! Fresh fish not frozen, crispy batter was perfect Chips are frozen but proper chips and not those skinny things so ofyen served in pubs, garden peas or mushy peas and served with a wedge of lemon. Could ask for better and only £3 more than the local chippy which incidentally is also very good. Staff are great with a real local atmosphere so 5 stars from me”

“Always find that the service here is very quick and efficient. The staff are friendly, professional and polite. This place has a selection of hot and cold drinks to choose from There is a wide variety of cakes and hot and cold sandwiches to choose from. As there is a lot of seating available I never have any difficulty getting a table to sit at. Price wise I would say it is in line with eating at most coffee shops”

Fantastic care for the quality of their beans and roasting process. They're always friendly when I go in and are more than happy to make up a custom (always recently roasted) batch of whatever blend it is I'm looking for if they don't already have it on their shelves. Nice little selection of coffee gear in stock there too which is a nice bonus.”
