“This is a great plase to dine out. We, as a family have been eating at Birashwamys for over thirty years when my father came across it one day. The restaurant is very cosy and the gorgeous aroma coming from the kitchen makes you feel hungry the minute you walk through the door. There's a great choice of delicious dishes on offer that tastes different to other Indian restaurants I have visited. We no longer live close Birashwamys but we make it point to drive down regularly. The food tastes just as delicious today as it has did thirty years ago. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff are really friendly. Nice clean toilets. Good background music. “Extremely disappointed with this place. I chose this place based on the good reviews, but everything arrived stone cold. The chips were stale and tasted as if they’d been fried in old oil. The shawarma wraps were also a huge let down, the sauces were so tangy and overpowering that they completely ruined the flavour. Honestly the worst shawarma I’ve ever had. I spent £41 and couldn’t enjoy any part of the meal. Definitely won’t be ordering again. Save your £ don't bother.”

We came here once before and were given some sweet goodies as a kind gesture, it really stuck with us so obviously we had to make sure to come back. This time we were treated with the same warm welcome and kindness. The man who works at the till is such a sweetheart, always so attentive to the customers and never fails to put a smile on our face before we leave, he really makes up for most of our experience. “Was in the Ilford area running errands and spotted this restaurant just off Cranbrook Road. Decided to pop in for a feed as I’m huge fan of Mediterranean food but hadn’t tried Albanian cuisine before. I ordered the Beef Hot Pot with a side of olives. The hot pot arrived absolutely sizzling, so presentation was on-point. Wonderfully warm and soft bread rolls also came with the dish, which acted as the perfect accompaniment to the sensational sauce of the hot pot (tart, cheesy and lush - how I imagine an Albanian mum would make for her kids on a cool night). The olives were well-seasoned and the restaurant also has a range of Albanian drinks. Tried Bravo Strawberry which tasted like pure strawberry juice in a can. Nice option to wash down the feed. This place was a great intro into Albanian cuisine and I’d go out of my way to visit Tirana again when the mood strikes. 10/10 recommend.”

“I was working in this area for a few days not many places to sit and eat unless you want to takeaway. I came across Sky Coffee Lounge it's in between a coffee shop and restaurant. There is a sandwich menu and hot food menu, serving a variety of cold and hot beverages. On the day I visited it was quiet and I was talking to the owner. If you live near here give it a try you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere is wonderful, if you're alone bring a book or newspaper, relax so some reading, meet some friends for lunch or if you have a casual date organise to visit this place.”

“This is a great expense, one that could be tried by anyone. There are some great choices available for starters, soups or mains and desserts, this place truly has something for everyone. From the outside it looks like a hotel lobby restaurant or something you'd find in central London. Inside is a nice looking banquet hall. The food is delicious and consistent, I've had 3 courses that I was equally pleased and impressed by. My favourite was ciorbă de burtă (tripe soup), although the sarmale (stuffed cabbage) was also really tasty. Don't forget about papanași (doughnuts?). 9/10 would go again, thoroughly recommended.”
