Went there just before closing time, the cook made a small mistake and broke one of the sizes on a 15" he then gave a medium also for free I didn't even ask or would have noticed. “This restaurant is more than twice the distance of my local one but so worth the extra travel time. The dim sum was exceptional, very high quality and well made. It was also very good value compared to the nearest biggest dim sum restaurant. An unexpected added bonus was the Saturday 1pm raffle which was good fun and very generous of the restaurant. Staff and service was great too. No dedicated parking is the only negative. I highly recommend and I will be returning again soon.”

“It was Lunar New Year and so I decided I'd try Wei Dao and I took some fortune cookies with me too. The ladies working there were really nice. It was not busy on Friday night, I encourage people to dine in and ditch the takeaways. It's reasonably priced and had some fun pop tunes playing in the background.”

The shop is always spotless and beautifully kept, and the staff are absolutely lovely—so helpful and welcoming every single time. “We went on a weekday, so I’m sure the vibe will be different at the weekend. We were the only ones there for a good 30-40 mins (7.15pm on a Thursday), but a few more people came in afterwards. Don’t let it deter you though - the food was phenomenal & the service was on point. The food is some of the best indo-chinese I’ve had!”

“Wow!! My second time here and I absolutely love the food and the lovely staff. I travelled 40 mins and I am not disappointed at all. Food fresh and cooked properly , we even got a free cake. We spent £30 for 2 large meals with rice , plantain and coleslaw , a large side of fried fish , 2 dumplings and drinks. All this for £30 and cooked perfectly in 2025 ?? You won’t find a better place than here. You definitely need to come here!! We couldn’t even wait to get home we ate in the car right in front of the shop lol.”
