“What an amazing hidden gem! The restaurant only seats about 20 people but the food is outstanding. Reminiscent of the rich indulgent food you find in North India. The Amritsari Kulcha was a real standout. As was the Old Delhi butter chicken, chicken lollipops, pani puri and chai. Everything a was amazing so you can’t go wrong!”

“Loved the food and staff were great. Its a cozy little place that has a lot of character. It has a big beer garden and some parking around the place and on the street opposite. Pets are allowed. Prices are reasonable. We had a Chicken Gyros and Roast Ham. They were both really good. Great for families and groups.”

“Came here with work, popped here for a couple pints on my own, staff are very friendly,, pints are icy cold, they WILL! And I mean WILL, look after you, even there locals introduce themselves, lovely bar, nice and chill, good tunes, nice pints, and food to die for, I’ll be popping back from hartlepool just for more food and the banter! 10/10 reccomend! Come here if you can, you really won’t be disappointed!”

“This place surely isn't the biggest or most privately contained cafe in a hospital, but that really is the beauty of it. Run by volunteers, these people were wonderful to talk to, and not only to see them with the choice to dedicate this time, but simply considering how long some have lived for (e.g. age 92), and how good their health is. Onto the actual cafe! The price of food here from sandwiches to cafe drinks is the type of reasonable I am expecting and am so happy to see, when comparing to such, including the Costa in the hospital. In my opinion that includes the range of cakes, biscuits and bars too! Having my [veg] sandwhich toasted made it extra fulfilling, and the cappuccino was super! And it gets better: All profits made, go to a certain division of the hospital. More people should visit this cafe to appreciate the efforts devoted by volunteers here. Hospitals should have more affordable, lovingly run cafe's like this! Obviously that doesn't even have to be as a patient!”

From the moment I stepped in, everything — from the food quality to the staff’s professionalism — was top-notch. The staff deserves special recognition. Everyone I interacted with was polite, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. “Amazing place to eat purely based on food quality. Makki di roti and sarson da saag was scrumptious. Bread pakoras, samosa, Paneer pakodas were delicious. A reviewer did say that chhole had a bite to it, which is true. But, it still is ok and doesn’t ruin the taste. One thing they could probably work on is seating. We shifted from uncomfortable place near the door to a better seat named “Ravi”. Yes, seats are named after the rivers. Overall, a great place to enjoy good quality food.”
