“My daughter has had dance lessons with dance shack since she was 8 and I have seen a remarkable improvement every year. Love the different classes that dance shack offers. The teachers are fantastic and dance shack is like a second family for my daughter.”
“Hayley and the team at DH dance are so lovely! My son (4) started Street Dance this year having never attended a club outside of school before. He was really nervous and unsure to start with but really quickly started to grow in confidence every week. At that age, the most important thing is to have fun and develop confidence and we’ve achieved both of those with DH Dance this year! Thank you!”
“Our children have been taking lessons with RSB for the last 9 years, and we really can't recommend them highly enough. Our daughter takes several dance classes in different disciplines which she absolutely loves. All 3 of our children also attend Starlight, their musical theatre course, which they enjoy immensely. The numerous performance opportunities the children have had has really helped them to grow in confidence and to develop life skills which sadly can't always be taught within the confines of the National Curriculum. RSB's teachers are fantastic, both in their level of expertise and their ability to nurture the children as individuals.”
“Love the adult classes and the community Jump Up offers. I have made wonderful friends in these classes and Erna creates a safe, supportive space where people can enjoy dancing!”
“What CAN’T I say about Leilah? She is an incredible dancer, an incredible teacher, and an incredible person. All of her classes are filled with good energy and fun choreo, and they’ve been a staple of my time here in London. I recommend Leilah’s belly dance to everyone!”
“The Kensington Little Dance Academy has been our home away from home. We couldn’t be more grateful for Ms. Georgina’s ballet class and the incredible impact it has had on my children. Both my daughter (3) and son (2) absolutely adore their time in class, and it’s been amazing to see how much they’ve grown under Ms. Georgina’s guidance. The support and encouragement from both Ms. Georgina and Ms. Beth has been unwavering. I cannot recommend these classes enough!”
“Welcoming, friendly and fun! There were a few absolute beginners like me in the class and within the hour we were able to move around the dancefloor and enjoy the music. Great atmosphere at the social dancing after the class. You can bring up your drinks and the bar staff will bring food orders upstairs too. Highly recommend!”
“Wonderful nurturing, friendly and professional place. My daughter has a real sense of being properly trained in ballet at the age of 9, as there is formality in the form of uniform and exam preparation without it feeling too strict. She loved the chance to prepare for and perform in a show at Jackson’s lane. Highly recommend this excellent school.”
“Jack provided private lessons to both myself and my wife before our wedding, along with group lessons for both our hen and stag dos. He's an amazing dancer and his passion for dancing and teaching is contagious. Jack made us feel completely comfortable and he helps you learn whether you can dance or have two left feet. The group sessions for our friends were great fun. Jack had even the most seasoned English wallflowers up on their feet. We will both be having further private lessons and we can't recommend Jack highly enough.”
“We booked sessions with captiv8 dance to prepare for a wedding dance at the suggestion of my fiancé. I want massively bothered about it but went along with it. It turned out to be one of the most fun bits of the wedding prep. Oya is such a good teacher, so flexible and so enthusiastic. She doesn't teach you just a routine but how to dance. We found the practice to be an ideal antidote to wedding stress. When it came to the wedding we nailed it, and it felt so good. We even did our dance at home the day later as we missed it. We're planning on doing follow up lessons as we loved it so much!”
“I have danced with Luanda in her classes at the Acosta Dance Foundation in Woolwich, London. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the classes a found Luanda an exceptional dance tutor, very passionate, inspiring and most of all very professional. She gives you all the elements for learning the dances. She is really passionate about bringing the dance experience to everyone. She is very caring and you always feel supported because she adapts her teaching to suit you. I am also very impressed to see how Luanda has build her dance business here in London in a short time and it’s all down to her immense drive and passion. Thank you Luanda”
“Some of the best teaching in town. Always challenging and fun, Sharon gives great personalized advice which helps you improve your dancing. I have been to many JazzMad workshops and definitely recommend them!”
“Emma is a lovely person, very enthusiastic and always wants the best for your children. She works hard to help her students expand their skills, and improve their dancing in both ballet and contemporary. Great opportunities would recommend.”
“My 3y old joined the children ballet class and really loved it. The teacher was professional, gave individual attention, encouraging, correcting and reassuring them. Great way for training the little muscles and posture whilst having fun!”
“I found this dance studio online and went for a trial session this Friday. The venue itself is easy enough to get to via Uber or public transport (a walk to St James Park UG). The people who work there couldn't have been nicer, very welcoming and knowledgeable! I met my dance instructor and we had a short intro discussion about what I'd like to learn / achieve before getting on the dance floor. The space is brilliant and the team are incredibly friendly and hospitable - I have signed up for lessons and would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to learn. Hot tip for newbies, wear flat shoes.”
“Dilek is the best ballet teacher I’ve ever trained with. She really cares about the individual improvement of all her pupils and pushes you to be the best dancer you can be. The atmosphere she creates at the school and in her classes is friendly, supportive and fun. As an adult ballet dancer, I could not recommend her enough!”
“Best forro dance class ever. The teachers are really good at teaching you and hiding you step by step. Everyone there is so kind and friendly. I’ve started back in July last year and can’t stop attending. I look forward to each class. Give it a try. You’ll definitely want to come back again.”
“NCAD is a wonderful dance and musical theatre school run by Sarah Jackson. My daughter had tremendous fun during her time at NCAD, especially starring in their shows! Sarah manages to get the balance between laid back and encouraging ambition. Children who just want to have fun are welcome here and there are great opportunities for those who wish to take their performing arts seriously. You can take your dance G.C.S.E. and several NCAD protégées have gone on to star in West End shows. Class prices are very reasonable to so all in all this is a great place for your child to come to explore the performing arts and grow into a talented and successful professional if that's what they want to do.”
“Adult contemporary class is the most rewarding thing I could do on Thursday evenings. Always open for experiments, fun and friendly environment. Lots of options to enjoy - either fancy warm-up, or space-filling diagonals, or new exciting choreo. And amazing opportunity to perform in front of friendly audience few times a year. I love our teacher Gemma - the most dedicated and cheerful person I ever know. Whoever wants trying - you are welcome to join a family of Sutton contemporary dancers!”
“Sumeet’s dance academy is a superb place to learn bollywood dance from highly skilled teachers amidst loads of fun! Each term has new songs and new choreography, which keeps the classes very exciting. And the shows at the end of summer and winter terms offer a perfect opportunity for the students to groove on stage and showcase their dance to friends and family!”
“My daughter has been attending Jam for a few years, she is extremely happy with her class, and we can really see the progress she has made. She has absolutely loved doing the shows especially the big shows in a theatre. We love all the teachers and there is nothing they won’t do for you. Trying to manage my child social calendar is tricky, however it is made much easier with all the dates on the app. This is a win for a busy mum and an even busier child.”
“I've been taking Belly Dancing lessons for half a year, from Marta, Sandra, and Farrah. All three ladies are excellent teachers. They make sure to repeat the moves so you remember and master them over time. As is the case with every dance, practice makes perfect. It's a ladies-only class, students of all ages and walks of life are welcomed. You can progress from one level to the next, as well as sign up for multiple (paid) lessons in the same week, should you wish to practice a little bit more. These belly dancing lessons are my favourite part of the week; they allow me to relax and have fun, providing a welcome relief during a stressful work week.”
“Excellent experience taking a class with Liani! She teaches Samba technique with passion and great knowledge, paying attention to stamina, musicality and authenticity. Lots of great tips and tricks to level up your samba - highly recommended!”
“I am so happy I finally decided to join ballet classes as an adult, and conveniently this is very close to my home. I just wish I'd found out about it sooner! Very challenging but super fun way to exercise both your body and your mind.”
“We are so pleased with our daughter’s growth and confidence in her ballet classes! She is constantly talking about ballet and says ‘my ballet school’ anytime we walk past. She’s almost 2.5 years old and I know her classes will support her confidence in everything she does. Ms Amy is an amazing teacher and so supportive. Thank you!”
“My daughter, 7 years old, has been attending Lyric Dance School for a couple of years. It's dancing, singing, acting combined with physical fun games. She absolutely loves it. Huge thanks to the teachers.”
“Saeeda is a professional and versatile belly dance and Romany dance teacher. Having a professional dance background growing up, Saeeda is a versatile dancer and teacher, who can teach not only the dance itself, but important performance skills as well. Saeeda studies the history and origins of dance deeply to deliver appropriate nuances of multiple different types of bellydance such as those from Egypt and Turkey, and, in addition Romany dances from Romania, Kalbelia from India and the unique Gypsy dance from Russia! I was fortunate to learn Russian Gypsy dance from Saeeda and enjoyed the chance to perform on stage - the opportunity Saeeda provides for students of any level!”
“I highly recommend Arthur Murray Dance Studios at 77 Baker Street, London W1U 6RF, for anyone eager to learn how to dance professionally. A heartfelt thank you to Beverly for her kindness, patience, and clear guidance—she explained everything with such grace and professionalism, making the experience both fun and unforgettable.”
“My 5 year old loves music and every bit of dancing. Chittal is nurturing his abilities and helping him groom in to a trained dancer.thanks to dance n beats for the efforts.highly recommend.”
“Jigsaw has been amazing for our children's confidence. Our youngest in particular used to find any kind of public speaking so hard and would not even look up and would mumble. Since joining jigsaw she speaks confidently and looks at her audience. The teachers and kind and caring and really bring out the best in their students.”
