“I have recently been discharged from Cygnet Beckton, Upping Ward. I rate the care I received over the course of the 15-months I was there as very good. The staff were respectful, caring and supportive. The hospital held the safety of patients as of utter most importance and restrictions were enforced only when people were at risk. Right from the start of my admission I was given meaningful and attainable goals, with an ethos of praise and encouragement for each step forward, no matter how small. Psychology and O.T. interventions were well organised and helpful. As staff were regularly moved across different wards I have no doubt that the experience I had on Upping Ward was a reflection of the care given throughout the hospital.”

I booked online the Monday afternoon and got an appointment for Tuesday morning, next day. I got there just before 10am and was out of there by 10:10am. There was 4 people in front of me.
