“think this is one of the best Costa Coffee outlets in the Havering area of outer London. It is run with super efficiently and a lot of care is taken to meet any special requests such as extra hot etc etc I do not know how long the young lady whose name i understand is Valentina has been at Costa but she certainly seems to be very experienced.She stays calm and organised even when it is very busy. I like to give praise where praise is deserved and she certainly deserves it. She has the perfect manner for dealing with the public and makes the minimum fuss about it. A credit to Costa ! Her colleagues are very good too and no doubt are recipients of good advice from Valentina. Thank you Paul”

“It always surprises me why we do not go more often to Iceland as it always has what we want at very reasonable prices. The Iceland in Upminster is very convenient as it has parking close by and the buses and train station is only a short walk. The only criticism would be that they do not have enough staff on the tills but having said that the queues do move quickly.”

“Just had the loveliest experience here and had to share.. Eating out with a little one can be a bit nerve wracking and we've sometimes been made to feel like a real inconvenience...not here! The staff were fantastic with my little girl and so friendly and welcoming. My little one devoured the cracker kindly offered to her (she refused the food I brought with me!) The lady even wiped her hands and played with her, giving me the chance to enjoy the siracha eggs I'd ordered (which were delicious by the way). Wish I'd visited here sooner but certainly gave me the confidence to come back again. Thank you”

“Popped in here for lunch with my friend and her baby last week and would highly recommend a visit. There were a steady stream of people coming in for icecream and the servers were very sweet despite being busy. The food menu is pretty extensive (jacket potatoes, wraps, sandwiches, full English and more) and they're really flexible so you can easily tweak and swap out items. We had a strawberry milkshake each (delish!! And they even gave us a small third glass because it made too much for 2 cups and otherwise it'd go to waste - never had that anywhere ever they normally jus put it down the sink), a crayfish sandwich and pesto panini both with Crisps and salad. Food was great and then the icecream after was fab, tasted a few flavours then picked one and only £2 a scoop! They also only use the posh biscuit cones and spinkles and sauce are inc. In the price :) seating available inside and out, fully licensed and with a wide range of cocktails and spirits and open till 8pm on some days!”

“M & S Food is located opposite Upminster Railway station with easy access to the ground floor and access for wheelchairs. The rear access has a lift that takes you to the ground floor - wheelchair friendly. Has limited on-site parking but check the parking conditions for payment. Behind M & S there's a separate carpark I think Rooms department store owns, again check the carpark conditions for payment which is affordable for the area. M & S food there's a good choice from the classic item to something special and affordable compared to other food shops of it's type. On many visits I always receive great service and it's a pleasure to shop in the store.”

“Vast improvement at this Tescos, which, up until recently, I almost entirely avoided due to the staff, which was a shame as the new-ish layout and lighting in the store has made it a very attractive shop. The staff were either moody to point of appearing hostile, especially if you asked for the locaion of a product or loud and talkaive between themselves. Now the atmosphere is calm, and the staff quietly do their jobs, but, at the time, calmly tell or show you where someting is. I may not speak for everyone, but when I go food shopping, I just want to get if done with minimum aggravation or fuss and leave, without having a bitter taste in my mouth. In short, I would like to give a big thumbs up to whoever at Tescos made these changes! Because of the experience at this Tescos is so much better, I have recently got myself a clubcard - which I previously never bothered doing as I shopped rarely due the points mentioned above.”

“Is this the future of the British pub? I hope so! It's hard to find such a huge collection of ales and ciders anywhere in the UK. It's quite spacious for a 'micro', with plenty of seating and standing room. Very handy for Hornchurch FC on match days. Excellent!”
