“Is this the future of the British pub? I hope so! It's hard to find such a huge collection of ales and ciders anywhere in the UK. It's quite spacious for a 'micro', with plenty of seating and standing room. Very handy for Hornchurch FC on match days. Excellent!”

“I visited the Jobbers rest for the first time yesterday and was blown away with the quality of the food. I can probably say that was the best roast dinner I’ve had from anywhere. I had the beef which just melted in your mouth the roast potatoes were crispy and cauliflower cheese was included in the dinner. I also thought it was great value for money for what I received. They had a wide variety of drinks the wine I had was delicious. The waiting staff were good. On the whole a really pleasant experience and would definitely recommend.”

“This is a family run restaurant. It’s been going for a long long time. . When we lived in Upminster we were frequent visitors and on a return visit we were excited to go back after 7 years. The food was as excellent as it always had been. One of our party was vegetarian and instead of being an after thought on the menu she was told everything came as a vegetarian option. I had forgotten how great they are on vegetable dishes, everything tastes and is recognisable as what it is. I love this consistently great restaurant. I would say we had visited 100 times before moving away and never had a bad meal. Delighted to return and find it hasn’t changed. I’ve literally been dreaming about the meal we had.”

We were directed to a table by Marcelle and served at the bar by Steve, both of whom were super friendly and polite! Our food was cooked by a new chef, Matthew which was sublime. “I had mixed feelings about coming to the restaurant as the reviews wasn't great. I was so pleasantly surprised. On entering we were welcomed with the lovely host, who was friendly and showed us to our table. She explained the menu to us. There were 16 of us so i was worried about the quality of the food. No need!! The food was hot, fresh and delicious! I can't rate this place enough. When I didn't know what a dish was, the host came over and explained perfectly. She was lovely. We tried things that we wouldn't usually, and every single thing we had was cooked beautifully. I will definitely be back. Friendly, fun, and above all tasty!
