“I joined Jig and a swig in January and it’s the best thing I’ve done since moving to London. Jessie creates such a fun, open and welcoming environment from the first minute. She is a brilliant teacher and does this all while keeping the classes organised and running smoothly, seemingly effortlessly! The community is fantastic, full of like-minded people who also want to try something new and make friends along the way, made easier by the fact that you see them every week. There are extra events being run all of the time and so many opportunities to get involved if the weekly class isn’t enough:)”

“I started as a total beginner here , and I’ve been really loving it! Chinedu is such an amazing tutor—super patient, encouraging, and he makes the classes so much fun. The vibe is really welcoming, and I never feel awkward (as a girl) even when I mess up. If you’re thinking about trying forró, I’d definitely recommend it!”

    Lote Tree Foundation

“I grew up in the UK as the child of Muslim parents from abroad and sadly I don’t carry good memories of Madressa here. My own experiences were rooted in fear and strict rules rather than nurturing a love for faith. Because of that, it was deeply important to me that my son’s experience would be different, that he would grow up seeing Islam as something beautiful, welcoming, and full of meaning. When he was still very young I rushed to enrol him into what I thought was a good Arabic school. Unfortunately, this is where he first experienced racial abuse, including anti Black slurs that the school failed to take seriously. That experience was heartbreaking and from then on I promised myself that I would never just send him anywhere, I would do the research properly and ensure he was in an environment that truly reflected the values of our deen. Finding Lote Tree Foundation has felt like an answered dua. From the start it stood out. They focus on Islamic studies and faith itself rather than imposing any one culture above another. The school is run with real professionalism but at the same time it is warm, approachable, and deeply rooted in community. Every interaction makes it clear that the teachers and staff genuinely care for the children. The summer camp in particular was nothing short of spectacular, so well thought out, engaging, and full of joy. My son loved it and I don’t think I can do it justice in words. What stays with me most is how supported and safe he feels there, and how much he looks forward to going. A special mention must go to Ustad Faisal, the head teacher, who is incredibly hands on. He greets families personally, makes time for everyone, and ensures that parents feel part of the school community as much as the children do. That simple act of presence and care says so much about the ethos of Lote Tree. This is exactly the type of positive nurturing community experience I had hoped for my son and I can honestly say there is very little I would not do to support them. Lote Tree Foundation has given us what I once thought was impossible, a place where my child can learn, grow, and love his faith without fear.”

“Amazing Drama School and they definitely exceed my expectations after completing my degree! Firstly, the syllabus was well structured, gave exposure to wide range of Acting subjects/techniques and had depth. Second, the teachers and staff was the best part of LSDA, they were very experienced, hands on, professional and cared about your education growth, they definitely challenge you. Third, the style of teaching at LSDA was exercise base rather than just theory. Fourth, you will be part of a class of other inspiring actors during your degree who share the same passion, they will be a big part of your learning curve and you will build a special bond with them like non other. One of the best experiences I have ever had.”

“We were a group of 4 booked for entry with afternoon tea. We had a hot drink on arrival before seeing the very informative and fascinating flying display of various owls and eagles. There are pens containing rare animal breeds and huskies and cages with hawks, owls and eagles. All looked well cared for and clean. We had a nicely presented afternoon tea in the café before returning for the second flying demonstration with different birds. We would all recommend Eagle Heights for a happy outing. The staff we met were all helpful and friendly from the entrance to the feeding and cleaning volunteers. This is a small, but very interesting, place to visit for all ages.”

“Our son had a fantastic 1st year at a nursery at Kids in Motion, where he learned a lot, he made friends and he got very close to the staff. We moved away from the area so we couldn’t really keep him there longer, but even though more than 2 months have passed, he still mentions Alice and the rest of the staff. The team is doing a great job with many fun, educational activities and celebrations planned. We loved receiving photos every week and getting a good amount of information on our baby’s development.”
