“I go to General Auto’s regularly for my MOTs and servicing and they always deliver to an excellent standard. Recently went to have my clutch replaced in my car and the turnaround and advice they gave me was second to none. Also recently had my light bulbs in my car replaced and they were able to fix it and point out that the holder was snapped off which is why the light couldn’t be secured properly into place and offered me a solution (something all other mechanics and Halfords I’ve went to have missed!)”

“Would definitely recommend. Had a gearbox issue with my 60 plate Audi A3, which was quickly diagnosed over the phone as mechatronic unit needing to be replaced. He remained patient with all my questions and gave helpful advice on things to check which would increase the likelihood of it being a mechatronic unit issue. I had RAC tow the car out to the garage. Work was done in 2 days. The price was reasonable. Most importantly, car is running smooth. Hadn't even met the guy until collection! Was super chilled and friendly which matched his service over the phone.”

“Caught my wife's door mirror on our front wall while reversing. Went to another bodyshop and quoted £460 for a new door mirror no other option given. Tried ft smartfix for first time and told he could change the mirror but as the damage was minor he could quickly just touch it up before my wife got home. 10 minutes later it's not so noticeable. Not a complete repair but just made it look better and the best thing is when I asked how much, I was told don't worry about it. Gave the guy £20 for being a gentleman and genuine.
