( Both having been off on maternity leave at various times). “A very good place where my wife disappears and I walk round looking at stuff. The staff are super lovely. They do classes if you are into crafting etc which is well worth joining There is a lot of stuff here, sewing, crafting, art and if you want to learn any of these there are classes too Very friendly staff Also note if you have a blue light card, hobby craft gives some discount they don’t advertise this as much as you would think but if you are a blue light card holder like my wife use it”

“Kelly is amazing - she is the master of highlights! I chose her because I saw her work on the headmasters orpington instagram. Before, my hair was 3 different colours (dark brown roots, warm mids, overbleached cool tone ends), and had banding due to home box dyes. After my consultation, Kelly corrected all this with minimal damage to my hair (when she could've upsold me and I wouldn't have known), she somehow matched my hair exactly to my reference photos which I didn't even think was possible in one sitting. I'm super happy with the results and feel like she took extreme care every step of the way. Also, a little while back I had a bob haircut done with Scarlet, and she was also outstanding. I've never had so many compliments on a haircut! Both girls were really friendly and easy to chat to as well, highly recommend ✨️”

“We were researching a riser recliner chair at at Orpington where we met Jon who could not have been more helpful. HSL are made in Yorkshire and come in various sizes from petite to Super Grandee. Most of the chairs will lift up to 25 stones and come in an amazing amount of fabrics including leather. The leather option although lovely costs almost 1/3 more. Jon explained the "fitting" aspect which is very sensible checking on hip width, leg length, height from the floor and 4 other aspects. We were shown probably 100's of fabric, we were offered samples and those they didn't have were posted to us very quickly. We have decided not to buy at the moment but if in the future I would not hesitate to return. The shop is very well appointed and I think there were 3 other lady staff members who were also very helpful. The shop also sells non electric chairs and 3 piece suites which looked very good but we didn't try any as that was not what we wanted. There is a VERY small car park at the rear probably only 3 spaces so if able to walk I would suggest parking elsewhere to save a tight 3+ turn to exit.”

“Rebecca supplied the most gorgeous flowers for our wedding. From the very first Zoom call, it was clear how knowledgeable and passionate she is. She advised on which flowers would likely be in bloom at the time of our wedding and carefully talked through different varieties and colours to make sure everything matched our theme. She also created a thoughtful design portfolio with photos and ideas, which was really helpful to revisit during the planning process. Rebecca made my bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets, and buttonholes, and also supplied buckets of flowers so we could arrange our own venue flowers. My bouquet was even more beautiful than imagined, filled with stunning British-grown blooms. The buckets were overflowing with flowers, I was so impressed with how many she fitted in. We had so many different varieties and textures. Her sustainable approach was also hugely evident, she kindly offered a selection of florist vases and props to borrow for just a deposit, which was such a thoughtful alternative to buying everything new. In the week before the wedding, when the summer weather had made delphiniums hard to source, Rebecca stayed in touch and suggested alternatives. On the day of delivery, she went above and beyond by managing to find some after all, making a special trip to one of her suppliers. That extra effort made such a difference and the delphiniums were so tall and amazing! So many guests commented on how beautiful the flowers were. Working with Rebecca was a pleasure from start to finish and one of the highlights of the wedding planning process. She is friendly, professional, and talented, and we would wholeheartedly recommend her.”

“This pretty little place on the corner of Farnborough village high street offers a very different experience of beauty. The 3 lovely women who work there clearly enjoy each other's company. They are completely themselves, which is very relaxing to be around, and pretty unusual these days. They also care about being respectful and kind while looking after their client's wishes (rather than raking in money as fast as possible). It's nice to watch. From a nail treatment perspective, you won't find any glue, acrylics or drills here, they're treatments are kinder to our nails and mine feel and look much better for it. This small business is a vastly different experience from our beloved nail bars. It would serve well to book in advance. Thank you ladies!”
