Fine dining experience in Twickenham

“We went to the restaurant a couple of weeks ago as we wanted to try some authentic Italian food. The service is provided directly by the owner and it feels like you were in some place in Italy. Food was the best quality we have tried in the UK. Again, it makes you feel you are in Italy. The chef cuisine was fantastic and the even combined one of the pizzas with the famous “Porchetta”. Being Spanish, I felt the taste and warmth of the Mediterranean. Really pleased with the experience and 200% recommended”

“I’ve been here multiple times over the years and have always had first class service and quality food. The staff are always super welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is great. An absolute go to for our group of mates who come here for our reunion lunches and catch-ups. 100% recommend, especially if heading onto a rugby game afterwards! Looking forward to our next visit!”

Having been a few times before, I knew what a great place it was: friendly, welcoming and with delicious food, prepared and served with genuine passion by the owner. “As an avid fan of Japanese cuisine I had a great dinner at Umi. The menu consists of a wide variety of different Japanese dishes which accommodates for all kinds of meal preferences. All the dishes we ordered were very fresh and were prepared with great detail. All dishes worked to create an authentic experience. In particular, the pork cutlet in the curry don was cooked to perfection with a crispy breaded surface and a tender centre. The sashimi had a umami flavour which is always a pleasant surprise in good quality sashimi. The establishment has a comfortable atmosphere and the high quality service provided by the staff of Umi ensured that we had a great time. I would highly recommend Umi as a go-to for authentic Japanese food.”

“What a pleasant experience. We were greeted at the door and seated by the friendly "Ben" who anticipated our needs throughout the evening. Ben brought us some complimentary warm focaccia and olives to nibble on while we made our menu choices. The menu has a good balance of dishes and I quickly decided on my choices along with a bottle of Ramaro for the table; I have a soft spot for Sicilian red wine. All dishes were well plated and tasted as good as they looked. The portions were also very generous, perhaps "Mama" was in the kitchen dishing the plates. After the meal, there was little room left for dessert, so I shared a panna cotta with my wife; I have to say that it was the best I've ever tasted. My only regret is that I didn't choose one of the seafood dishes, they looked realy appetizing. My relationship with crustacions has always been one where no matter what precautions I take while shelling them, a jet of oil always squirts out and slashes me on my shirt. Perhaps next visit I'll wear on old shirt or a bib; perhaps both.”

“I had the Linguine Granchio at Bella Vita last night and it was absolutely fantastic — perfectly cooked pasta with tender, flavorful crab in a light, aromatic sauce that tasted incredibly fresh. For dessert, the Tiramisu was heavenly — creamy, rich, and just the right balance of coffee and sweetness. Every bite was pure Italian delight! The service was friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!”

“Lovely little Italian spot in Twickenham! We had pizzas. Especially enjoyed the Caprino, which was packed with flavour. Finished off with a delicious tiramisu and a smooth limoncello. Great food and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!”

“Lovely surprise! We have lived in the area for years and never tried the restaurant under the new management before. We liked the mussels and prawns dishes a lot. Pizza and Parmigiana were nice as a main but not as much as the starters, those were top. The chef must be really good skilled in handling fish dishes I guess, and we'll definitely be back to try more. Service was attentive and not obtrusive.”

“One of the best Italian restaurants in London. The pizza is actually better than the pizza we had in Florence. Brilliant Neoplitan pizza. Fresh ingredients. Also the mushroom vegetarian Ravioli pasta was excellent. Prices were worth it. I'd highly recommend visiting.”

“A real nice experience in Indian dining. Started off with the reviews of course and then the dining. The cider choice, was a koppaberg which was refreshing. Thr samosas in the chaat were complimented with channa aka chickpeas and vatiyon other accoutrements. Delicious. The murg tikka was quite good too but would have preferred fit bit more heat n the green chutney served with it. On to the main course with lamb saag and dal makhani with breads. Both ere well cooked and excellently spiced to provide a great end to the meal. Unfortunately no space for kulfi.”

“Great restaurant. I had wanted to have dinner here for many years and the opportunity finally presented itself. I attended with a large group and the staff were very attentive. We were served quickly (which was essential with hungry children.) The quality of the food was excellent (not just pasta and pizza!). Super location and perfect rustic atmosphere. thanks! “We had reserved a Christmas lunch for ten individuals at a different Green King establishment. After receiving only generic confirmation emails and no further communication, we visited the pub a week prior to our booking, only to discover it was still under construction. Dec, the Area Manager, was present and clarified that a mix-up had occurred, and our reservation should have been canceled. Following some concern, Dec successfully rebooked our lunch arrangements at the Barney Arns in Twickenham. Our visit to the Barney Arms was met with exceptional service from Chloe, who demonstrated remarkable helpfulness and understanding, effectively alleviating any concerns we had. Our Christmas luncheon was exceptional, characterized by outstanding cuisine and a superb ambiance. The staff provided exemplary service. Dec, Chloe, and the team provided exceptional assistance. We will certainly be rebooking for next year. Thank you for making our Christmas Day truly special.”

“This is a lovely little French restaurant, with pretty French music! The French bread and caper butter was very delicious had to order more bread to finish off the yummy butter! My partner ordered the scallops and I got the pea soup - both very tasty! The decor is lovely, wooden floors and velvet blue sofas. The veal and plaice was quite good and the dauphinoise was excellent! Would definitely recommend and want to try the lobster ravioli next time!”

Raj is a lovely lady who is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and will make every customers visit a treat as she can cater for all people, Raj is a star and so good at what she does ! Also Raj's colleague Puneet is a polite, accommodating competent person who takes care of customers needs and can assist with their requests to make your experience better ! There's a wide range of items to choose from, meals snacks and sweet and savoury treats !”

“Sheesh mahal We always look for a bring your own drink restaurant as they usually have the best food! This restaurant did not disappoint! We had the most amazing welcome. Were given a lovely booth for 2! We started with Poppadums and dips. Delicious! One was unique made from coconut!! With our main we chose the house special lamb chops, chicken madras, pilau rice and peshwari naan! The lamb chops were seconds to none! Unbelievable! When visiting new places we love to go to an Indian and this was in our top 10. The food was first class.”

“I am a local and go to this chip shop sometimes. The food is delicious and they have things that you normally wouldn’t find in a chip shop. And I hope soon that the kebab side off the shop will be open soon. They have been working on it for months and I am very excited. I am a drawer and one time I drew their logo(I’m not saying you should do this so plz don’t try it) but I got a small free chips which was really nice(it also helped that I am a local and the owner knows me quite well). “Me and my friends came in on Tuesday evening for some food and drinks. Amazing service from start to finish, Rosie and Ray were both fabulous, very busy night yet the food was amazing and service very fast. Reasonable wine prices, can’t beat £30 Picpoul in Twickenham!”

“This is our favourite café in Twickenham, perfectly located adjacent to Orleans House Gallery and with views of the gallery's woodland garden. The café is kept very clean and has good Covid protocols and plenty of outdoor seating beneath generous umbrellas in the stables courtyard. The café also has 6 or so indoor booths, which are perfect for working or catching up with a friend. We love the selection of delicious cakes, well-prepared snacks, excellent coffee and friendly staff.”
