Food establishment in Bexleyheath

“My husband and I had been to this restaurant a few years ago for our wedding anniversary which was unfortunately cut short as our youngest son had an incident at school (he's SEN) and we hadn't really thought about it again until today. I had booked a table at a Mexican restaurant in Bexleyheath for my birthday and made them aware it was my birthday. I had turned up at the booked time to be told they had a private function and unceremoniously turned away with zero apology or acknowledgement of the trauma they had caused me! I was absolutely devastated but I saw the sign for Il Vesuvio and some new hope burned in me. Whilst the restaurant was fully booked the staff so kindly found us a table we could have for just under two hours and they treated us like royalty! We enjoyed starters and mains from the main and specials menu (we would have had pudding but we were full!) nothing was too much trouble and everything was gorgeous! I enjoyed whitebait and octopus, whilst my family enjoyed vongole, carbonara and calamari. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious and they even gave us some complimentary limoncello! I can't believe I had all but forgotten this absolute gem! Thank you for taking my day from despair to joy and I heartily encourage everyone to come to this amazing venue! Thank you so much for making my birthday so special!”

“Absolutely gorgeous food! So fresh, really tasty and feels like the food from an independent restaurant. The flavours are just great, not processed feel and the standard is high. The chef has absolute attention to detail and the place seems very organised. We enjoyed our food and we will be back! I also had sea bass which was amazing. I also had some mash potatoes and I’ve never had mashed potato so good! It had so much flavour like olive oil and herbs. It was just too good!”

“Great selection of ales , ciders and beer . Take away service as well so you can continue your quality drinking at home . Couple of weeks before we are allowed inside but they have an area at the front and around the back for outside drinking Excellent service . Highly recommended for the ales and cider connoisseur..”

“Lovely place. I have been here a number of times, Jimmy and Sue are both lovely and put pride in their work. Food is always great and more importantly fresh, and I don't think I have had a bad dish! We always go with friends or family. Our go to's are Lobster noodles, salted n pepper giant king prawns, beef ho fun, special fried rice, scallops, crab claws, chicken curry and many more!”

“Great find, authentic Indian food. It's one of the best Chole Bhatura i have had recently. Tandoori Chicken was well-done and spicy as well. There are not many parking spots in the area, so I usually prefer going late evening when the parking restrictions are relaxed.”

“Great first time experience. A family of 5 including a year old toddler. Everyone had something to relish. I saw it online after a quick search and I am not disappointed at all. Conscious, friendly and attentive staffs, neat environment and well cooked meals. Spent a little over £100 but we were full to the brim and had to ask for takeaway packs...lol. “Our second visit here and it is one of my favourite places to eat. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Portions are huge and well worth the money! You can easily stick to spending under £20 per person, however we like to add some starters and usually get multiple drinks. Highly recommend!”

“Had dinner here last night and it was honestly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Every dish was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. “Nice cafe first time using it and food was decent price , toilets availible aswel. Food was very nice , cafe was clean no greasy smell as you walk in , it was nice and fresh , the only reason its not 5star is because the tea wasnt that good i think maybe cheap tea bags , better tea would be better it was very weak like dish water unfortently. But very nice food and very nice cafe and decent prices. Free wifi if u need it and also free parking outside for 1 hour.”

“Brilliant service. I recommend it without reservation. We recently moved to bexleyheath and are so happy that we found Amanda's Cat sitting service. We have two cats, one who can be a little stand-offish, and both of them took to Amanda immediately. I tend to be a bit of a worrier when we're away from the cats, but Amanda's regular text message updates, and some brilliant photos of the boys playing that she sent, really set my mind at ease and meant I could enjoy my trip guilt-free. We will certainly be calling on Amanda again in the near future.”
