“My husband and I had been to this restaurant a few years ago for our wedding anniversary which was unfortunately cut short as our youngest son had an incident at school (he's SEN) and we hadn't really thought about it again until today. I had booked a table at a Mexican restaurant in Bexleyheath for my birthday and made them aware it was my birthday. I had turned up at the booked time to be told they had a private function and unceremoniously turned away with zero apology or acknowledgement of the trauma they had caused me! I was absolutely devastated but I saw the sign for Il Vesuvio and some new hope burned in me. Whilst the restaurant was fully booked the staff so kindly found us a table we could have for just under two hours and they treated us like royalty! We enjoyed starters and mains from the main and specials menu (we would have had pudding but we were full!) nothing was too much trouble and everything was gorgeous! I enjoyed whitebait and octopus, whilst my family enjoyed vongole, carbonara and calamari. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious and they even gave us some complimentary limoncello! I can't believe I had all but forgotten this absolute gem! Thank you for taking my day from despair to joy and I heartily encourage everyone to come to this amazing venue! Thank you so much for making my birthday so special!”

“Great find, authentic Indian food. It's one of the best Chole Bhatura i have had recently. Tandoori Chicken was well-done and spicy as well. There are not many parking spots in the area, so I usually prefer going late evening when the parking restrictions are relaxed.”

“Held a funeral reception there for a member of the family so not a happy occasion. However the manager, Cindy, was extremely helpful, professional and sympathetic. The club itself homely and comfortable. There's a large function room with a bar and a smaller one if required. Staff friendly and welcoming.”

“We’ve lived in the area for almost 2 years now and have tried so many different Chinese takeaways from Uber Eats/Deliveroo and the likes and been quite disappointed. We spotted this place a few days ago whilst driving by and decided we’d try ordering from there later on in the week. We picked up an order from there today and were so impressed with everything we ordered, this is by far the best Chinese takeaway in the area! Highly recommend, every dish tasted incredible. 10/10 (My partner went in to collect the food and said the man working there was very nice :) )”

“We're happy with the service and the wonderful teamwork there. We were shown to a nice sofa seat by Ed for our family of 4 with crayons and colouring paper on the table. Ben was very patient and non judgmental when I found out 2 vouchers of mine got zero balance in it and Dom was very helpful throughout making sure we were being served and brought food to our table swiftly. Samchot saw we have finished our food and politely took away our empty dishes. The team who were cooking were very focused and giving their best to make sure food being cooked properly and customers don't have to wait long. The chef has absolute attention to detail and the place seems very organised. We enjoyed our food and we will be back! I also had sea bass which was amazing.
