“My husband and I had been to this restaurant a few years ago for our wedding anniversary which was unfortunately cut short as our youngest son had an incident at school (he's SEN) and we hadn't really thought about it again until today. I had booked a table at a Mexican restaurant in Bexleyheath for my birthday and made them aware it was my birthday. I had turned up at the booked time to be told they had a private function and unceremoniously turned away with zero apology or acknowledgement of the trauma they had caused me! I was absolutely devastated but I saw the sign for Il Vesuvio and some new hope burned in me. Whilst the restaurant was fully booked the staff so kindly found us a table we could have for just under two hours and they treated us like royalty! We enjoyed starters and mains from the main and specials menu (we would have had pudding but we were full!) nothing was too much trouble and everything was gorgeous! I enjoyed whitebait and octopus, whilst my family enjoyed vongole, carbonara and calamari. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious and they even gave us some complimentary limoncello! I can't believe I had all but forgotten this absolute gem! Thank you for taking my day from despair to joy and I heartily encourage everyone to come to this amazing venue! Thank you so much for making my birthday so special!”

The club itself homely and comfortable. There's a large function room with a bar and a smaller one if required. Staff friendly and welcoming.”

“We're happy with the service and the wonderful teamwork there. We were shown to a nice sofa seat by Ed for our family of 4 with crayons and colouring paper on the table. Ben was very patient and non judgmental when I found out 2 vouchers of mine got zero balance in it and Dom was very helpful throughout making sure we were being served and brought food to our table swiftly. Samchot saw we have finished our food and politely took away our empty dishes. The team who were cooking were very focused and giving their best to make sure food being cooked properly and customers don't have to wait long.
