“Was served by Ben this afternoon at the acorn industrial estate branch! I had an exchange I needed sorting out for a recent order, a pair of boots for a different pair! However because I used a voucher for the previous pair it made the exchange a little difficult to sort out however after a few calls Ben was really positive and polite and was able to sort the situation out for me which I really appreciated as I took the boots to be refunded at my more local store (Belvedere) and was told by a member of staff that she didn’t wouldn’t do the refund for me because she had already taken a large refund that morning and obviously wanted to meet her store targets for the day. This was not fair and I shouldn’t have been told this. Many thanks again Ben.”

“Marks and Spencer is generally a cut above the other conveniences. This is true of the one located in Darent Valley Hospital too. The staff are friendly, and welcoming and the selection is surprisingly good considering it is merely a tiny convenience store. It's best suited to pick up and go purchases, and excels at lunchtime fare. A wide range of the usual sandwiches, great quality, reasonable price also a larger than average offering of plant based meals too. A great little store.”

“Shine Food specialise in being a global grocery shop, selling foods from all around the world, although there is a strong Asian bias, or at least that was the sections I was drawn to. There is also an excellent American section. Located within the Orchards Shopping Centre, the unit is very well lit, bright and easy to navigate. There are no steps or issues with disabled access, but I would recommend those that need reading glasses to bring them, as prices are only on small price labels on the products and shelves. A recent change is that the product descriptions now carry a flag of the country of origin and an english translation of what the packaging says in case you cannot read it. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. With free samples of hot food being given away on their opening weekend. Most of the food sold here tends to be long life, but there are chiller cabinets and freezers too. If you fancy cooking something different for dinner or lunch, this is definately a great place to shop.”
