“We tried this place because of the 4.7 star reviews on Google reviews and it more than lived up to its rating. The food was incredible!! Seriously the best food I've had on Edgware Road. The mix grill was exquisite and grilled to perfection. The mixed shawarma wrap was served in the bread they make at the restaurant and was fantastic. Excellent service from the young lady waiter. The bill was very reasonable for the quality of food served. Please give this place a go if you're on Edgware Road!”

“Utterly fabulous Afghan restaurant- huge portions, and delicious especially the chicken shish and the dumplings. BYOB or very reasonably priced soft drinks and mocktails. But the high point is the exquisite service. I mean it, every bit as good as a Michelin starred place. You will feel at home. Highly recommended and already planning my next trip!”

“Amazing restaurant! The staff was very quick to assist with anything and very friendly. The menu was pretty large big and food was delicious! I the chicken, lamb skewers with rice and my girlfriend saffron chicken soup. For dessert we had baklava with was very tasty!”

“Visited this restaurant for the first time today with my partner. The customer service was excellent and attentive. When we sat down they had already placed bread and sauces on the table and after we finished the bread they topped us up with more bread and to my pleasant surprise the bread was a different variety which was amazing. When the main dish came everything was of high quality the Adana meat was excellent and salad and Bulgar was great. We finished with some Turkish tea . Overall I really enjoyed my experience at this establishment and I highly recommend it to anyone. Also the price was very fair . I look forward to eating here again. Thank you”

“This is place is incredible and we had such a good time. I had the lamb tagine with aubergine and my partner had the vegetarian tagine with goats cheese (which she said was delicious). My lamb was falling off the bone and the whole meal was superb. It’s also a BYOB place with no corkage costs. Would absolutely recommend this - service was great and decent price for amazing quality food - still thinking about it now!”

“Just so lovely for my half Egyptian husband to have some proper home cooked Egyptian faves. The foul was like a hug in a bowl and the children loved their shawarma - Mohammed looked after us so well and it was warm and friendly and just fabulous food. Thank you team. It's not young, trendy and experimental, but if you have good taste and like good traditional food in a nice clean atmosphere then this is a great choice. The only issue was that they did not have some of the drinks listed on the menu, but that still doesn't affect my review. The lamb dumplings were the best I've ever tried. I'd recommend booking in advance as it gets quite busy for dinner time.”

“Eltham GDK is my local branch. I treat myself to a GDK when there are offers on the OG Kebab. They always deliver consistently, the public area is always clean and well kept, the chefs always do a great job and make the order correct (if you ask for extra onioms for example or no tomatoes) and the front desk service is so friendly and organic, there is nomnally a male on the front desk (not sure of his name) and he is always friendly and helpful. In recent months there is a female named Tuba on the front desk who is as well always friendly and helpful. It makes a huge difference in the experience. Not that there has ever been an issue with an order, but if there was, the teams friendliness and eagerness to ensure you have had a good experience would make me feel super comfortable to address any concerns. In my experience this is so rare for a franchise. To Tuba and the rest if the team, thanks for your collective efforts to deliver a brilliant experience every time. You all work hard and I hope headoffice recognize what an incredible team they have.”
