“Been going to barber Jack's for over 3 years now and I always feel great when I'm there. They cut hair so smoothly and are great to talk to like a barber should be. They aren't rough at all with your head and hair but most importantly they don't cut my ear off or leave bald patches like every barber before my previous barber.”

Capoeira Nago at Jinga Jinga Academy

    ★★★★★ 5
    Open

“Really good club to learn the art form of Capoeira in a safe controlled environment. Club members are friendly and eager to help out. Coming from a different capoeira school I felt quite at home. Equal attention is given to teaching the music and culture connected to Capoeira. There are outdoor training sessions during summer. Sereia is a really great coach/teacher with a high level of mental and physical energy which is very contagious. Her classes are very accommodating to beginners and are structured for all levels. Her training methods are very organised and you’ll find your fitness level improving and progression at your game very quickly. Classes on Mondays and Wednesdays are a cartwheel away from Royal Oak station with ample parking around it. Friday class is at a great location across from Paddington station, plenty of pubs and restaurants for Friday evenings after training drinks and meals. Would highly recommend joining and training on a regular basis or just stopping by for a trial class to see it for yourself.”

“Paul is absolutely the best! I told him it hurts behind my knee when I bend it. He did his thing and asked me to bend my knee. The look on my face was priceless as I was expecting pain and there was none! Paul made my first experience of acupuncture extremely pleasant. Whatever he does is magical because I walked out of there feeling refurbished, almost new. They don't call him the wizard for nothing Give Paul a call for a body MOT, you won't regret it!”

“Yvonne is the most fantastic acupuncturist and Chinese medicine person! She has improved my cycle (for fertility) immensely but more importantly has improved my overall well-being. With the first session I could physically and mentally feel such a drastic difference. I had more energy, more motivation, more positivity and more of an overall sense of well being than I’ve had in a long time. Herbie, one of the owners, is also fantastic. A great conversationalist whilst I wait for my appointment and truly committed to his clients, he even calls me if there’s a train disruption so I can plan ahead. I would highly recommend Yvonne and Laura Ryan Therapies for all your complementary therapy needs.”

    The Chi Clinic

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Closed

“I arranged to see Tony regarding tightness and soreness in my hamstring/glutes which I have had for a couple of years. After an initial chat where I mentioned other injuries and problems with my leg, Tony gave me a whole body MOT. As well as working on my leg, he found the old injuries in my back and shoulder which he gently but effectively re aligned. After a second session where he intensely worked my leg, it feels much more comfortable with increased flexibility. I felt very comfortable with Tony, who is genuinely very caring and clearly very knowledgeable. The Chi Clinic has a relaxed and friendly feel about it rather than sterile and impersonal. I would happily go back for regular maintenance.”

    Studio K

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Open

“I have wanted to do dance classes for all of my adult life and always chickened out due to stage fright/anxiety, fear of being judged and under qualified at even “casual” classes. At the start of this year I pulled the trigger and did some taster sessions at Studio K and never looked back. All the instructors and members are so welcoming and friendly. A variety of levels of fitness and body types (which is refreshing, especially in ballet!) and everyone from people who have never danced to seasoned dancers. It has been a wonderful social experience and chance to be able to indulge in a range of dance styles I never thought I’d be able to do in the same place plus a discovery of others (Waacking is life changing). I only wish I had time to go more often! Thank you Studio K - especially Ginger and Sarah who I normally do classes with. Try out the taster sessions - you won’t regret it!”

Since going there again, the supplement charge has risen though, but the quality of the food is fantastic. The spa treatments are also great and very relaxing. Recommend for a getaway!”

    The Optimum Health Clinic

“Extremely happy I discovered this program for cfs and that I started it. There was really nothing like it available in the German speaking room and it also helped me in a lot of areas not even the doctors here could help me with. It really allowed me to stay positive during an enormously challenging period of my fatigue, when everything got a lot worse and I could nearly not do anything anymore. It also helped me a lot in understanding the cause of my fatigue and what I had to do to get better. And it got me much of deeper psychological insights into myself for which I am really grateful and that will help me avoid putting myself under too much stress in the future. I m a lot better at just letting thoughts and things go. Thanks to all the people working there who have supported me on my journey, it was really helpful”

“I entered my womanhood filled with pain and agony since the age of 11. I was plagued by monthly cramps, some so severe it lasted for 6 hours with continuous vomiting. Every month, I hated my cycle, that very essence that symbolised my womanhood. In my despair and desperation, I turned to traditional medicine - and was told to switch off my hormones in order to function. For the next 13 years I was on hormonal therapy. I turned off the pain, but also unknowingly turned off the feminine part of me. It changed my energy, It made me overly masculine, and unable to openly receive from the frequency of the divine masculine. I since realised hormonal therapy was simply throwing a blanket over a burning fire and was not actually solving the problem. When I turned away from hormones and went down the path of energy and internal healing, Sam and Louise were both there to guide me through holistic love, balance and acceptance. Having started my journey 6 months ago, I am now no longer screaming in pain each month, and no longer need pain relief on my cycles. I am able to love, appreciate and honour my womb space and feminine body. By healing my womb, I am able to love, flourish and lean into my feminine energy. If you are plagued with concerns of your womb, I highly recommend you giving these wonderful ladies a go- so you can too heal, and stop hating the divine feminine within you.”

    Walton Tai Chi School

“I moved, many years ago, from a stressful central London location to a more relaxed life style in Walton-on-Thames. The change included using a bike instead of a car. Looking for a bike in the local paper I found an ad for T’ai Chi. I decided for the T’ai Chi instead of the bike and it was the best decision ever ever ever taken. I have been with Kevin for over 12 years now and every weekly class is a truly enjoyment. Kevin is an outstanding instructor who explain not only every movements in detail but as well why we are doing it. Kevin’s knowledge of T’ai Chi, its movements, history, culture is outstanding. Not to mention all adds-on like Qi Qong, meditation, relaxation, weapons etc. is just top of everything.”

    Learn Tai Chi

“For me, one of the most natural teachers out there and one of the few in the country teaching the authentic Tai Chi Chuan, which includes internal strength training. I found Rob a warm and incredibly patient person. Unassuming and meets you totally at your level. I am very fussy about the quality of training I receive so did lots of research to find him. I found out with he was and still is currently being trained by the very best in the world, so I knew I was in safe hands and wasn't going to get taught lots of fancy looking moves that don't work in the real world... Since individual lessons with Rob I have not just overcome the debilitating effects of Chronic Fatigue but I am thriving now. I practice Tai Chi and internal strength exercises daily. It takes dedication but I am pleased to say my fitness, strength, balance, energy and coordination is pretty phenomenal now. If you are interested in developing martial arts/self defense or wish to overcome a health challenge, Tai Chi Chuan has an incredible amount to offer you and in my opinion, with Rob, you just cannot fail!”
