“A few weeks back I was collecting my daughter from her classes in the centre and I purposely arrived a little earlier so that I would have time for my mid day prayer. I asked the lady at reception if the centre had a religious room. She was a little unhelpful and abrupt with an immediate no without apology. Not long after an absolute lovely gentleman by the name of Joe asked if I just needed a room which I replied yes he then guided me to a back room that had very dim beautiful lighting and only housed a ping pong table. I was so grateful. Just that small act of consideration and kindness made all the difference and immediately changed my mind about my initial interaction with the receptionist. Again thank you so much Joe. Your kindness went a very long way.”

“This concerns the quality of provision of Focus Music, not venue hire - I’m concerned that negative reviews of the venue are being linked to the music teaching, which is superb. We now have in-school guitar lessons from Focus Music, having moved away from another provider. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of teaching - a vast improvement on previous experiences.The communication, through the school’s system or direct emailing/phoning/messaging is also first rate. “Our daughter (now in year 8) has been at Edge Grove since year 6 having spent all her previous schooling in the French system. We joined the school at a time when the new headmaster, Me Evans, was still putting in place his vision, but we felt that he knew exactly what he was wanting to do, and we completely bought into that vision. We have not been disappointed. The pastoral care has been first rate, particularly helping our daughter in the transition to a British Independent school. From what we have seen, any pastoral issues are dealt with speedily and sensitively. Great emphasis is put on politeness and creating the right environment for learning, whilst enjoying everything that the school has to offer. The education curriculum is innovative, supportive and stretching, and the school is doing a fantastic job of supporting all year 8 pupils in preparation for CE, truly differentiating based on the schools they are applying to and the exams they will be taking. Extra-curriculum activities are great too - the Director of Music is fantastic and the improvement in the quality of all school music activities has been marked, while the head of girls' games is really raising the bar too. Staff go beyond what one might expect and respond rapidly and helpfully to any questions or concerns. The parent community is friendly and welcoming. The school certainly deserves its recent rating of Excellent in all regards from the Independent Schools Inspection. I highly recommend the school to any prospective parent.”

“Great school. My son started there in OG (Year 6) last September and loves it. Kids are bright, parents are friendly and the teaching seems excellent. Doesn't matter what you are into (music, sport etc.) they seem to cater for it. Although it's a private school, it's a lot less snobby than some state schools - especially some of the Grammar schools.”

“So my son has been going here for nearly a year now and I can honestly say this is a really good Nursery. The front office staff are incredibly helpful and very polite and welcoming and very understanding. As for my son's class there have been amazing he loves to go there he's learning a lot. They helped us with his toilet training, and he was out of nappies in next to no time. I was expecting it to be very hard and difficult, but we did what they advised, and within a week he was out of nappies. Genuinely, if you're looking for a really good nursery, I would highly recommend you just go there for yourself. Have a look around, speak to them, and I'm sure you'll place your little one there.”

“I am a support worker for children with additional needs. On Monday last week I attended with a young man who let’s just say left a big mess that most people would absolutely hate. I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me however the new manager who I’ve been told her name is Els was absolutely wonderful, helpful and put me at ease. It wasn’t a pleasant situation and she helped a lot. Very lovely young lady. I felt awful and she put me at ease and told me not to worry.”
