“We went to Mori on a whim whilst visiting Slough on a short break. We had a long day and we wanted something close by to the travel lodge we were staying at. We picked this restaurant without looking at the reviews and honestly I can hand on heart say this has got to be the best meal we’ve ever eaten. The food quality was out of the world. It was fresh, well presented, and the flavours were to die for. We had starters, mains and a dessert and genuinely we can’t fault a single thing. The atmosphere was so calming and peaceful and the staff were so friendly and attentive. The chef preparing the food with everything in view was fantastic. We HIGHLY recommend this place and if we didn’t live so far we would be back again in a heart beat.”

“The dishes on the new menu are amazing. Choose from a variety of proteins and you can have any sauce you like with it. (The menu must have listed at least 8 sauces). "NoChicken" is also available, in addition to the usual meats and tofu. (The new menu is not on the website. However, the vast majority of the dishes on the old menu are on the new menu.) My chicken lettuce wraps were delicious - perfectly seasoned and stayed hot for quite some time. Would recommend.”

“Stayed last night after checking in at 1am the lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful. After a bad day and half the night at work she was very understanding of my situation a credit to the company. Room was great with a lovely Hot shower. Breakfast was also very good. Would highly recommend.”

“Just had delivered 2 half chicken and rice and 1 chicken strips and rice. The delivery was fast, fresh and food was absolutely delicious! ..Chicken was juicy and hot, rice had great flavour, I had an unexpected guest , so grill garden saved the day. Food was excellent, I'm a regular customer and would highly recommend..keep up the great work to all the team at Grill garden, Well done!”

“The food here was really good. The flavours were amazing. The seafood was tasty. Service was okay for a pub style. Ambience was really nice. Pad thai was good, thai curry had a mild flavour and all the items we ordered were tasty.”

“Amazing building in beautiful grounds with a fabulous lake. Plenty of free parking and good WiFi ,the restaurant and bar are also a nice place to relax. The menu is ok not a huge selection but does have a good selection. The bar only as two draft beers on offer a IPA and Moretti plus bottles are on offer. The rooms with a garden view are away from the main building but are basic but ok. All the staff are friendly and can’t do enough to ensure you have a great stay.”

“I’m really impressed with this pub. The manager really helped me with an issue with my car in the car park and I really appreciate it. The pub has great food and drink and is a lovely venue. Across the road (be careful whilst crossing though) is a field with horses that you can sometimes see too. A great venue for warm pub food and friendly pub”

“We missed our flight, so BA put us up here for the night along with a lot of other people. It was very comfortable. The rooms were clean. It wasn't fancy, but it was nice. They had a buffet for dinner. I thought it was the best meal I had while we were on this 3 week tour. I think the staff was overwhelmed by so many people arriving at the same time.”

“My first time at The Black Horse and it was a lovely experience. Staff were attentive and courteous. We all had different dishes which were equally amazing. Great place to eat both inside and out. I’ve already made reservations for two more dates! Highly recommend this place.”

“Visited on Sunday evening, had a lovely meal. The chefs were super friendly and compliments to them as the food was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were flavourful and the meat was tender. Our waitress Tanya was the highlight of our evening, she was very welcoming, polite and attentive and just made the whole experience better. We were well looked after and enjoyed our dinner. Thanks again, will be back soon because of her!”
