“In the heart of Croydon, a Sri Lankan restaurant, from the outside it did not suggest anything good, in reality, a really charming, clean and well-kept restaurant. short waiting times. GREAT FOOD really tasty. reasonable prices. Really courteous staff also very friendly manger. bathrooms clean and well maintained. if you are in the area I recommend it. great! Also plates are really nice with sun and moon.”

“We came here for my friends 40th! We were placed in one of the cosy booths upstairs. Such a lovely quirky restaurant. The waiters were very friendly and served us straight away. Good was delicious especially the steak! Cooked to perfection! Prices really reasonable. We all had a great time and the live singer was a great touch too.”

She helped me choose the pork belly ramen - something I’d never tried before - and it was absolutely the right choice: comforting, flavourful, and perfect for the cold weather. Fatima was genuinely warm and personable, and even took a moment to be sweet and engaging with my mom on FaceTime. It was such a small gesture, but it made the whole experience feel really human and memorable. Service like that is exactly why I keep coming back to Wagamama. The hotel has such an amazing vibe to it for such a cheap price. Theres so many stores nearby, me and my friend went to an asian convenience store nearby! You NEED to come here!”

The staff are down to earth, helpful and add a vibrant splash of colour to the place, those they come into contact with love them. “Wow!! My second time here and I absolutely love the food and the lovely staff. I travelled 40 mins and I am not disappointed at all. Food fresh and cooked properly , we even got a free cake. We spent £30 for 2 large meals with rice , plantain and coleslaw , a large side of fried fish , 2 dumplings and drinks. All this for £30 and cooked perfectly in 2025 ?? You won’t find a better place than here. You definitely need to come here!! We couldn’t even wait to get home we ate in the car right in front of the shop lol.”

“We went for my son’s 9th birthday and everything was great. My son loved the food and he is a fussy eater! He ate the tomato pasta with garlic bread. Six people came including three adults and three children. Two children ate adult meals and all rated 5*s. I loved the atmosphere and the chef and waitress were amazing and attentive. I ate the seafood spaghetti and I enjoyed it i would say 4 out of 5. The pizza looked amazing and the calamari are definitely the two that stood out and we all took a liking to. My seat did need a shake to remove a little mess and the table had minor crumbs. Otherwise the table was ready when we arrived as I called ahead. All was put right quickly and we all very much enjoyed the meal.”

I ordered the Lamb Cutlets, which is my preferred dish at every restaurant I visit, and the serving here was easily the best size I have ever encountered. The dish consisted of four substantial pieces, and the portion was definitely satisfying. I left the restaurant feeling completely full and content. “Just went for the first time and it certainly won’t be my last. It’s an excellent menu, really great options. A good mix of hearty stuff, but nice lighter options too. Meat, fish and veggie options. The place is clean and beautiful, service was spot on and the food was fresh and really well cooked. Absolutely delicious! The prices are really good. Pint of Amstel is £5.50 which is rare these days. The portions were also generous. Can’t wait to go back!”
