“Absolutely love this busy but tasty Indian in soho. Don’t miss out on their rotating list of curries, mains, starters and sides. Each bite was better than the one before. Had the venison curry which was absolutely remarkable. I want to go back immediately.”

“We just used this hotel for one night to see a show. Location was brilliant - a minute from Carnaby Street and Soho. Check in was hassle free, and the room was perfect. Not huge, but there was a classic Premier Inn bed, great shower, and everything you needed for your stay. The room was spotless! Service was excellent. We needed a couple of extra pillows that were provided without fuss. All in all, a nice place for a short stay!”

“We were left in a predicament on my birthday after a disappointing experience at a nearby steakhouse left us walking out. The bouncer at The Devonshire recommended Sophie’s. Initially told they were full, a manager soon stepped in, found us a table despite the busy night, and offered complimentary drinks. It completely turned the evening around and saved my birthday. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. The steak was good: well-cooked and enjoyable. When other places let us down, Sophie’s delivered genuine hospitality.”

“Absolutely loved it, the portion sizes were huge, so definitely recommend sharing food with others. Out of the three of us that went only one could eat all of the main course. The bingsu was definitely the highlight though (again huge, so would recommend sharing). I thought the price was really good for London, especially considering portion sizes. There are only four tables though, we were really lucky and managed to walk right in (on a weekday), I imagine it's harder to get a table at the weekend. If it's full I would recommend getting a bingsu to takeaway still, as it's lovely xxx”

“Wonderful location-felt very safe as a lone female traveller-even late at night. Spotlessly clean, stylish and customer service was 1st class. Room was 'compact' fine for one. My only complaint was no tea/ coffee making and only one loo roll which wasn't enough but otherwise absolutely first class. I will be back.”

“Didn’t know what to expect but every expectation was exceeded. The show was insane, would recommend going for that alone. Shoutout to Brandon and the other promoter’s they were super accommodating, really nice atmosphere overall! Also security by the toilets and on the door to the smoking area were lovely too which isn’t something I see a lot of.”

    The Duck and Rice

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“My girlfriend and I visited The Duck and Rice ahead of my birthday and it honestly couldn’t have been better. The food was absolutely delicious, we shared sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mein, bao buns and venison pastries, and every single dish was so tasty. You could really tell the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into the cooking. A big shoutout has to go to our server, Hannah. She was so friendly, attentive without ever being overbearing, and genuinely made the whole evening feel special. It’s rare to come across service that feels that personal, and it honestly made all the difference. I have a peanut allergy, so I have to be careful eating out particularly with Chinese food, but Hannah handled it brilliantly. She was knowledgeable, reassuring, and made me feel completely at ease, which meant I could just relax and enjoy the meal. The place itself is lovely and inviting, and seems like a great place for a casual lunch or a more formal dinner. The combination of amazing food, a lovely atmosphere, and such thoughtful service made this the perfect place to celebrate. We left already talking about what we’ll order next time.”

“We went to this amazing Greek deli on Maddox Street for brunch on a Saturday at 12 p.m. The place does not take bookings, but they have a QR code at the entrance so people can join a virtual queue. Saturdays are quite busy in central London, so it took us about 90 minutes to get a table. We just grabbed a coffee and went for a walk while we were waiting. I ordered the green shakshuka, and it was amazing - really well balanced and delicious. The smoothies were also great. Even though the place was very busy, we weren’t asked to leave, which I really appreciated. I’ll definitely go back!”
