“A couple of months ago, I had the misfortune of visiting the K Lounge Hair Salon for a blow dry for a special occasion. Unfortunately the blow dry damaged my hair, and rather than my usual 3c curls returning after several washes, my hair remained dead straight, and it has been more or less dead straight ever since. The proprietor couldn’t care less about what she had inflicted on me and my hair, not that my regular curl pattern would not return until my hair grew out. Anyhoo, my review of my awful hair experience is on Google if you wish to read it. I decided to visit a curly hair specialist, rather than Afro or European salon to determine what I could do with my hair, and Sonia at the Standard Studio recommended a good cut to try and bring some curls back. She suggested a complete chop if I wanted my curls to return to their former glory. I wasn’t quite brave enough for a number two, but I did permit her to take off several inches. Whilst the end result isn’t my 3c curls as they were pre disaster, Sonia at the Standard Studio has done an absolutely brilliant job of getting curls back into my hair, which I thought had completely gone until regrowth occurred. I was the only person in the salon for two hours and Sonia took great care over each and every curl. For you curly hair ladies I would definitely recommend a curly hair salon as the stylists look after your precious curls as if they were their own and know the do’s and don’t’s of tending to curly hair. And in particular I would recommend the Standard Studio. Thanks so much Sonia!”
