“Visited Dishoom for the first time on a solo trip to London a few weeks ago - firstly I want to say thank you to the staff who were all so lovely. Greg who looked after me and was very helpful with describing the menu, the man who seated me and remembered my name to say bye to as I left and the lady who insisted I takeaway a cup of Chai to take advantage of the bottomlessness! My visit was too rushed (which was my own fault for accepting an earlier table they needed back by a certain time) so I look forward to a more leisurely visit when I next go to one closer to me haha but I will definitely return as the food was as good as everyone tells you and there's so many other things I'd like to try. They have a good alcohol-free selection too. It's a very busy place but it's understandable why it's so popular and you should definitely book a table if you go. Thanks guys! :)”

“Other Kids is a beautifully curated and designed local business. They are extremely knowledgeable, and provide expert advice on sizing / fit / style. The selection of shoes / clothes and other bits (books / puzzles / seasonal bits - eg bucket / spade etc) is excellent given that it is not a huge shop! It’s an absolute go to for us for school shoes and sandals - we’re extremely lucky to have a unique shop like this in Leigh! Highly recommended to anyone!”

“Amazing service, owner is so lovely, and the atmosphere is inviting and everyone is so hospitable. They also use this organic natural home made foot and hand scrub for the pedicure and manicure and it is incredible, it smells super refreshing and makes you leave with the smoothest skin. On top of that my eyebrows have never looked so good. If you fancy a pamper day with princess treatment this is the place to go.”

“From the moment I walked in Sian was warm and welcoming- you get a feel for people quicly when they work on your hair. She applied my highlights with perfection and the colour came out beautifully, replaced my tape extensions expertly. I am so happy I cant recommend Sian enough if your a blonde or have extensions. She listens and executes her trade with class and great skill. She definitely has my business.”

“Amazing garden/flower shop between Battersea and Clapham. Seems small from the outside but quite large once you enter with a very decent amount of plants/flowers/pots. Staff friendly and super smiley. Entered just to take a look and ended up taking 3 plants for our balcony! Definitely a hidden gem, and will be back for more really soon! Quite nice place to get a plant gift for friends/visits!”

Prior to flying over to London, I was in communication with Carter, who helped ensure the logistics of my tattoo and the healing process. When I arrived for my tattoo Carter was very professional and friendly. He made me feel very comfortable, especially since it was my first tattoo! “Had dinner the first day. It was so good that we came back for dinner the following day. The chicken biryani portion was generous and the taste of all the spices makes it perfect. On the following day we had the Mutton Karahi. Perfectly cooked, the mutton was tender and slightly spicy. Had it with Briyani rice. Try the Aloo Samosa, really lovely, nice spices on the potatoes. Forget the fancy hotel’s food around the area, this is the real deal, value for money.”
