    M Bar & Kitchen

“I enjoyed a lovely lunch with a friend today at M Bar & Kitchen. I ordered the Club Sandwich (& chips!) and WOW! Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. As it is located within a residential village, not many people realise it is actually open to the general public for brunch, lunch and dinner. (As someone who eats Gluten Free, my needs were catered for really well and I was reassured about the ingredients in the dish and the preparation process.)”

    Señor Tapas

    ★★★★☆ 4.6
    Closed

“I was already a big fan of this restaurant - the tapas is excellent - and was interested to try their Sunday roast. I went on the first day of this new menu and, quite simply, LOVED it! There were a few nibble type starters available - olives, padron peppers, almonds, bread. We had the sourdough bread - this came toasted with an alioli sauce - very tasty! The main course choices were beef, chicken, lamb cutlets or a vegan wellington. We had the chicken and lamb - both were served with roast potatoes, roasted carrots, parsnips, broccoli, yorkshire pudding and gravy. All superbly seasoned and delicious! Good portion size too. We didn’t have desserts, but saw others tucking into cheesecake and churros. Next time! The staff were fantastically welcoming as always! Laura, kept saying words to the effect of “It’s our first day doing this…” - no need to justify anything Laura, you’ve already aced this! Pricing is well pitched - £19 - £21 per person for main course, depending on your choice of meat. Well done Laura, Danny and, of course, the brilliant Spanish chef, Freddy! Already booked to go back next week!”

    KOI Ramen Bar (Brixton Arches)

“I love this ramen spot. The tonkotsu broth is super rich and well seasoned. I like the addition of their own chilli oil to the broth, which spices up its flavours. Gyozas were also perfectly grilled. I’m completely addicted and keep coming back. Love it”

    San Marco

    ★★★★☆ 4.5

“We had a lovely Christmas lunch with our office. Italian was the best option as it offers a broad range of dishes. Everyone (group of twenty) was pleased with the atmosphere, the service, delicious food, and good wine. The restaurant has clearly been there for a good few years and could do with some touch-ups but was clean and keep the food and service standards at the expected level. The only minus was the cold water at the washbasins in lavatories, and the cleaning products really could've been hidden, but overall, it was a great experience. I would recommend if you're looking for no non-pretentious home-vibe place to have an authentic italian meal at a reasonable price.”

    The Great Gurkhas

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Closed

“My partner and I go here frequently for the Sunday ‘buffet’. We get a mix of two starters and choice of 4 mains plus sides. Loads of high quality food for a great price! Our favourites are choyela chicken for starter, piro lamb for main and hariyo mismass for side. Also the naan bread is divine! Unfortunately they haven’t had the piro lamb as one of the 4 main options the past handful of times we’ve been. Hopefully tomorrow is the day it returns to the selection!”

“Excellent food - lots of variety and interesting choices. I had spicy fried 'fish' and then a sweet and sour tofu. Really good and very reasonably priced for London. Staff were lovely - we were served by a young lady who was super friendly and helpful. The chef popped out of the kitchen at one point too, to check we were enjoying it and to talk us through the satay sauce (which is so good we had to ask for extra!).”

“Faultless experience. Staff were polite, professional and very friendly. Food was incredible, quick service without feeling rushed. Our waitress was attentive as were the other staff too, offering their thoughts on the menu items and making polite conversation without giving us the impression they have to. An amazing experience which really made my 30th birthday amazing.”
