“Hands down the best tortillas in all of London, and best tacos de carnitas too! Handmade blue corn tortillas really make the taco, and the fillings don’t disappoint. We tried tinga de pollo, pollo con mole, and chicharrón prensado. All of them were really good, but the absolute best were the tacos de carnitas. Deliciously moreish, so good we had to take some home, along with a couple dozen tortillas and salsa. Tere kindly packed carnitas and toppings for us, which we had today at home. And now I’m completely hooked, I’ll have go back for more soon. If you have a gathering at home (from a few guests to a big party), you can preorder tortillas, fillings, and toppings and you’ll impress everyone. The service is warm and attentive, and Tere makes everyone’s visit special. ¡Gracias! P.S. I’m from Mexico City. Some reviews have been critical of the ambience and waiting times. This is a market food stall, like the best ones in Mexico City, and there’s a special charm in that. As for waiting times, they are quite quick for London, way faster than any pub. Update: visited again for the special Dia de Muertos menu. Spectacular pozole, tamales, and agua de horchata.”

“Went here on the off chance as staying in the area for 2 nights. We were blown away by the quality of the food and excellent level of customer service. Very friendly atmosphere and left feeling full. The Bill came to £109 for 4 people and that’s including a few drinks. Portion sizes were also very good. Will definitely be returning!!”

“The vegetarian nachos were delicious with fresh ingredients. The beef birria tacos were amazing, the taco shell was soft but still had a little crunch. The beef and dip were well seasoned with a little kick. Then to it off the churros were fried well, also crunchy with a soft interior and the chocolate sauce was great. The staff were kind and very helpful. Fully recommend to anyone who enjoys great Mexican food with fresh ingredients!”

“Have used before and food always fresh and super tasty. We got a delivery order through just eat and half of it didn’t arrive. The restaurant deliverers the remainder separates themselves plus lots of extras. Service that goes the extra mile. Thank you”

“Was planning on going to the popular cafe next door but the line was over 2 hours and so we decided to to give this place a go as the food looked good and it was busy but no queue. Very happy that we did as it was a lovely breakfast. The full English had everything you could want and was fresh. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was lovely too. Amazing bubble and squeak. Don’t bother waiting in the queue for next door. Come here!”

“Large Market Halls space with plenty of comfortable seating. We had just eaten lunch elsewhere so didn’t get any tacos on this occasion as we were too full. However, we did come for a cup of iced horchata, which was lovely and refreshing for a warm, muggy day. Will have to come back next time for a cheeky taco or two.”

“Loved the Beef Taco! Slow cooked beef and bean combination, quite delicious. Nice Nachos & crispy crinkle cut fries. Slaw could be more tasty but still fresh and juicy. Very nice staff and peaceful place. Was my first visit but definitely not the last one!”

“The place is huge so you can walk in with some friends, your couple or alone there is space for everyone. The food is alright but I must say the beef taco wasn't as great as the chicken ones. The meat was so chewy and it was in a big piece of meat. Not the best option to serve it. The service was alright, you need to order the food by the app, so it goes quickly and you can take your time choosing what are you gonna have. The food did not take that long but there are not relationship between customer and water.”

“Amazing food, I think they changed the chef and the tacos were great before, but now they are even better, feels like eating a gourmet tacos. Went there today and ordered a taco which wasn’t available at the time so ordered another one, but when I went to get the order they said they managed to find the one I ordered initially and gave it for me for free. That was so sweet and made my day!”

“A wonderful experience overall. My boyfriend found this place on Tiktok and we went for the Wednesday deal - you do have to book for this ahead of time but no qualms about that as it is a stonking deal! Every taco me, him, and my sister had was delightful, flavourful and most of all, JUICYY! The fillings were more than generous with them overflowing at times (maybe slightly lacking on the steak one but understandable). The cocktails were delicious. The service was lovely - even got a recommended cocktail from our server. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves good quality mexican cuisine! And also wonderful value for money - especially in the old smoke with it costing £25 a head for 4 tacos pp, a cocktail and service charge. Will definitely be visiting again!”

“We went there on a Friday evening for all you can eat tacos £22. Excellent tacos, would highly recommend the carnitas and chorizo. The tacos were overfilling with meat and lovely hot sauces. The owner was lovely, very friendly and welcoming, gave us a free frozen mango shot at the end of our meal. Warning 5-6 tacos is probably enough, the 7 I had was at least 1 too many but well worth the food baby!”

“Booking was easy online. While I needed to make a time change which required a phone call, it was quick and easy to do. We went for the all you can eat tacos, but found so many yummy things on the menu we ordered other items instead. The Ghost Rider Marguerita was delicioso, the homemade chips and guacamole was excellent (pomegranate seeds were a nice touch), the Mexican Fattoush salad was fantastic - finally some health vegetables on my holiday! The chicken and carne asada tacos were small yet superb. We could have ordred another plate, if we wanted, but opted for desert instead. The Empinada for me with chantilly creame was a perfect end. My wife apprciates ambiance, which Madera has even without the 15th floor view. Though of course, having the best meal on our holiday, while watching the sunset over London was a perfect end to our day. Last, but not least Sabuj took attentive care of us all throughout our experience. We are already planning on returning soon.”

“Hands down the best tacos & frozen tequila I have had in ages. The tacos that I chose were: ox cheeks, chicken and duck. And let me tell you all three options were amazing, full of flavour and very filling. The frozen tequila was perfect, perfectly balanced. Will definitely come back to try other cocktails, as they looked amazing. The manager and her staff were super friendly and ensured everyone was looked after. Will definitely be back!”

“We had the birria tacos today and they were very tasty, lots of beef and toppings and the dip it comes with was so flavourful and enough for all 3 tacos. I'd say the portions are a little small but they're quite filling too. I had the guac too and it was actually very good. The service was good too and the marketplace has a nice atmosphere. I'd recommend , especially if you've been wanting to try birria tacos”

“Managed to turn up and seat a group of 9 last Saturday evening. Service was fab - thanks Petero for looking after us! Very quick out with drinks and food. Had to send back corn on the cob as not warm enough but they sorted it super quick. Otherwise great. Lovely cocktails, delicious food. Kids meal was great value and the churros were really tasty. Will definitely head there next time we’re at the O2.”
