“What a find! This friendly Thai chef has created a real Thai street food gem in the heart of Epsom! I love the simple menu, which will cater for most people (not trying to do too many things, just a short select menu, done really well!). All cooked fresh, and very fast service. Got the pad thai with chicken and prawns. Noodles were light and full of flavour and chicken and prawns delicious. Big portions! enough if you're super hungry, or easily split into two meals. will be returning here for sure.”

“Found this lovely restaurant after spending the weekend at Brands Hatch. Both of my husband and I ordered fish with coconut rice and they were nice. Service was quick and friendly. Overall, it was a lovely dinner before on the way back home. The manager even gave us a bag of prawn crackers to accompany our 4-hour journey to Cardiff. Much appreciated.”

“Me and the Missus eat here often. The pub itself is a little run down ( cracking pub though ) and we see many people come in, have a look around and promptly leave. They made a big mistake. The food is delicious and plentiful. My current favourite is the Penang curry and I always ask for small potato pieces to be added which they are happy to do. Prices are very reasonable. Oh, I forgot to mention the crispy pork belly for starters. I have just talked myself into going there this afternoon. Never know, we may just see you in there.”

“Can’t get enough of I-Thai Wimbledon! The food is consistently delicious, and you can’t beat the price. £7 for a hearty, fresh meal. The Thai sweet and sour chicken with rice is my favourite, perfectly balanced flavours and always served hot. The perfect lunch combo. Friendly service too!”

“We did a reservation before visiting this place and I recommend you to do same, because it can be quite full here, although there are many tables to sit in. There were many vegan & gluten-free options - I ordered chilli tofu rice noodles and it was quite spicy, but the taste was really good. Prices are fair comparing to similar restaurants. Chicken pad thai & mango sticky rice looked and tasted very good. Staff was very friendly and I was very satisfied here.”

“It was very delicious. Corn fritters were great, the Prawn crackers were nice and the peanut sauce was handmade and brilliant. Massaman beef curry was smooth and melted in mouth. Coconut rice was very nice especially when mixed with the massaman sauce. Pad Thai was great and generous with chicken portions. The Roti was flaky as well and very nice. Will return.”

“Me and my partner were passing through and visited quite late in the evening, the waitress was incredibly pleasant and talked with us while we waited for our food to take away. The food was of good quality and full of flavor. We both had beef stir-frys of different styles. Both were incredibly well made and tasted delicious, highly recommend.”

“Authentic Thai food. Friendly and attentive services. Even without reservation, staff took initiative to switch us from table next to entrance to a more comfortable seating inside the restaurant. Food we had was so on point. Great flavours from the pork rib (tender!) noodle soup and the meat balls are one of the best I have had. It’s done so right! Everything hits the sweet spot. Pad Thai was tangy and has a citrus note. Lovely experience.”

“The quality has improved a lot since I last went a few years ago. We ordered a variety of dishes and all were really good in taste, presentation and freshness. The toilets are clean and fresh, and the service is polite and quick. Some famous Thai dishes are missing from the menu due to the difficulty in sourcing fresh Thai ingredients e.g. sweet mangoes, green papaya and oysters.”

“I came here at a raining night and it was quiet with only two tables occupied. The service is excellent. Very good Tom Yum, shrimp tempura, and dessert. The taste is not strong non salty, however I like it. The chicken can be better. Anyway we enjoy a very good dinner here.”

“I've been here four times and I cannot believe that I haven't reviewed this place yet. First of, this is the only Thai restaurant I've been to four times (and I don't live close). Food is always amazing, and service is always fast, attentive, and welcoming. It's not your typical Thai restaurant, but the flavors are there. Last time we went we ordered the turmeric roti, nice, flaky and full of flavor. We also got the salted turmeric flossed tiger prawns, and I recommend two each (by default the order comes with three, but you can add one more), the crispy pork belly, and the beer battered chicken. We weren't that hungry last time, no none of the larger dishes. We've had their larger ones before, and we were always happy.”

“Very nice Thai food in a slightly quieter street in Kingston. We were the first people in on a Saturday evening, so the service was very prompt and friendly. We ordered Pad Thai, Grilled Chicken and plain Jasmine Rice — along with a Tiger Lager and some Jasmine Tea. Pad Thai was very nice, with not much spice, and they did give you the option to add heat with chilli flakes which were on the side of the plate. The grilled chicken had lovely flavour with nice crispy bits of skin, but the salad was fairly spicy. Definitely recommend if you're into Thai or other Asian cuisines.”

“My partner and I had a wonderful time at Patara. The service was first class with very friendly and welcoming staff, who were very knowledgeable of the dishes on the menu. The food would give the high end restaurants a run for their money, our dishes were well flavoured and the meats/fishes in the meals were very tender, which enhanced our dining experience. Very happy couple and will be bringing families on our next visit - hopefully sooner than later!!”

“I have never been in but have always ordered takeaway. The food is brilliant, really recommend their curries, the gaeng panang is my favourite. their starter selection is great, the meat is always succulent, and as someone who enjoys a good king prawn... they don't disappoint!”

“A restaurant with delicious and authentic Thai fare. The two of us were stuffed with one appetizer, a meat dish and a bowl if rice. Didn't check the wine list but soft drinks are pretty affordable. Dishes were served hot and freshly prepared. The server kindly offered chopsticks yet it was a little inconvenient to use with plates not bowls. One thing worth noting was that the heater wasn't strong enough to warm us up - girls sitting next table needed to cover their knees with coats.”

“Spontaneously decided to drop in for “dinner for one”, since my dinner date had to stay home. The food was amazing and very authentic and probably the best Thai food I’ve had in a restaurant outside of Thailand. It’s made with love and there is no holding back with flavor and portion sizes. It makes the experience even better because they are truly there to serve good food and fill you up! I ordered the stuffed chicken wings and an order of the glazed ribs as a starter and for main I ordered spicy noodles with prawn. I was also served a basket with shrimp crackers and some chili oil and that was a nice touch. The service was very very good and I will definitely be returning next time I visit St.Albans! I brought some Tom Ga Kai back home for the sick husband and he really enjoyed it piping hot as it came. Thank you and please don’t change much till next time!”

Delicious Thai food, that you can tell is cooked with much pride, with huge portion sizes. The service was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere in the market was just fine. Especially considering the area. Clean facilities, tight yet well maintained.”
