It is a throw back to the 80’s but that’s what I loved about it. The food was delicious and very good value for money with a complimentary glass of house wine. I will definitely be going again.”

“For me going for an Indian isn’t just about the food but the experience. We went on a Tuesday night and the staff were sensational, they greeted us at the door with a smile and even complimented my friends new leather jacket he was wearing. The food was brilliant and for our step father he said “it took him back home” (he is of Indian descent although born in Mozambique). The chef special of a lamb shank was brilliant too. The ambience was great with some fanatic music really setting the scene for a great night and traditional food. The only downside was as we went at 6pm on a Tuesday there was a slight wait on food due to it being so busy. My only advice was book in advance as you’ll struggle to get a seat.”

“We had booked in for a supper at 5pm telling the staff we had an appointment at 6pm . Our waitress was eager to speed things along and we ordered our pizzas and wine within a few minutes. We enjoyed our meal and were able to eat without rushing to make our appointment.”

“Have eaten here 6 times now and always enjoyed authentic cooking with fresh distinctive flavours. The management team and staff are attentive and knowledgeable on the subject of their menus. Wednesday’s banquet night is a real treat where you can eat la carte and try their house specialities at reduced rates. If you want a standard curry option they are well executed too.”

“Despite all the bad reviews listed on here we had a good experience. We pulled up outside the shop and ordered online through the app to get the best deals, the app updated us on the progress and it was a smooth and efficient process. All the food was hot and fresh, no complaints at all!”

“Only one night before Twickenham rugby. It is only 35 minutes from the ground. Parking an issue but we parked free on station carpark after 6 and before 8 It is 5 minute walk. Wetherspoons 5 minute walk up road for food and pint. Room was hot, shower was hot. Decaf ☕ free in room tasty enough. Lots of towels. Quiet night.”

“Wonderful. That probably doesn't do it justice. The location is idyllic. The house is gorgeous and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We sat outside as it was a lovely day with a spectacular view across the valley. We went for the set menu. It's not cheap but actually it's not unreasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. A few surprises (ants - deliberately - on the sushi) which were utterly delicious. We had different choices and every one of them was fantastic. Service was brilliant - friendly and informative - and the whole experience was unrushed, relaxed and sublime. Couldn't have had a better celebration of our anniversary. I also can't reccommend it enough.”

“We turned up as a party of 4 with 2 young children without a booking at 5pm. The staff could not have been more accommodating despite being quite busy. We were advised the wait was 30 minutes to order but were offered a table and some christmas drawing activities to keep the children occupied. A nice touch. Food was exceptionally good, with both children polishing off all their plates. Steak and ale pie & highland venison duo are highly recommended for adults! Very warm and welcoming pub. Highly recommend & will certainly be calling in again in the future after a visit to Polesden Lacey.”

“Absolutely delightful! We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Garden House, where we were treated to an impressive selection of drinks, including a variety of refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails. The staff was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, enhancing our dining experience. The food was delectable, and the dessert was wonderfully indulgent! We took a stroll through some of the gardens, though we found that many areas are reserved for members or guests only. Overall, it was a memorable experience!”

“Great tasting food, as well as quality and well presented. The lamb sabousek (like a samosa) is superb, not your normal corner shop type samosa. Veggie rolls seem freshly made and again not your average spring roll. I love their Cacik (garlic/cucumber/yoghurt sauce). Mixed chicken kebab meat is ace, as well as chips with popped chicken. Delivery always on time! Highly recommended.”

The food is just as amazing as I remembered—each dish is packed with flavor and made with love. The service is top-notch, with friendly staff who treat you like family. Atmosphere was so good and the girl who served us was so inviting we said we would come back another day before we left. Two weeks later we stopped in for another drink and decided to stay for a meal. Wonderful food, same welcoming waitress again. The cousins we were staying with who live in Horsley who hadn’t been to the restaurant stall, heard all about this place. We ALL went back today and shared a wonderful lunch, our same waitress was there and a wonderful older man who told lots of ‘nice’ jokes. Love this place. The pricing is very reasonable given the amount of speciality food on offer as well. The customer service has been outstanding on both occasions. I look forward to going again in the near future.”

“Popped by today for an hour or so and enjoyed a few drinks with my family in the beer garden, plus some ice cream! A lovely pub, staff seemed very nice too even though it was hot and they were bringing out lots of food to customers. Toilets were clean, plenty of parking out the front and side plus a car charger which is convenient.”

We went there for Sunday roast, and I can honestly say that I will drive again two hours just to enjoy their food again. The food and drinks prices were also reasonable.
