    The Queens Tavern

    ★★★☆☆ 3.8
    Open

“A really cosy and somewhat secluded building not far from Queens Park Rangers football club. The pub (The Queen’s Tavern) is no longer in use but the rest of the building is now a hostel. Quiet part of town at night but warm, friendly hostel for the more mature than the rowdy bunch.”

    No. 26

    ★★★☆☆ 3.8

“Since moving to No26, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to live. The rent is affordable for London, and the service is exceptional—particularly the ground floor, communal areas, and management spaces, which are all top-notch (and the music is a nice touch). My room is fantastic: modern, spacious, and comfortable, and any concerns I’ve had are addressed promptly by the management. I’ve been living here for a year now, and it’s been a truly enjoyable experience. The team, especially Hafeez, is incredibly welcoming, genuine, and knowledgeable—whenever I stop by to chat, I always leave feeling well taken care of. The apartments are spacious with high-quality finishes, and the amenities, particularly the co-working space and rooftop, are outstanding.”

    Zeyas bar

    ★★★☆☆ 3.7
    Open

“I had the pleasure of dining at Zeiyas recently, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of energy, with smooth Afrobeats playing in the background that instantly sets the mood. It’s the perfect mix of great vibes and even better food. The menu is packed with authentic African dishes, each one bursting with flavor and clearly made with love and tradition. The star of the show, though, has to be their signature lobster dish — absolutely incredible. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, it’s a must-try for anyone visiting for the first time. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming feel of the place. Whether you're familiar with African cuisine or trying it for the first time, Zeiyas delivers a truly special experience. I’ll definitely be back!”

    No.8 Willesden Green

    ★★★☆☆ 3.4
    Open

“This review is for the private rooms. It's a clean, quiet room for an unbeatable price in London. I've stayed here twice on extended layovers in the UK, once in August 2024 and once in June 2025. The sheets and the bed are clean, and I appreciate that they have a full kitchen and ironing services. Respectfully, when looking for budget stays in London you do need to adjust your expectations. I've stayed in a number of budget hotels over the years and this is the only one that didn't have carpet mites or a mildew-y smell. London really is one of those places where it's worth it to upgrade your housing. This isn't a 5* experience by any means, just a safe and clean place to hang your hat when you're rarely going to be in the room anyways. I will say that this time the bathrooms were nowhere near as clean as last time. It was worth it to wait until late morning and use the facilities right after the cleaners. It seemed to me that there was a lot more long term residents there, mostly men, so it didn't have the same vibes as last time. I think it's probably a commentary on the global economic situation than anything else. The staff have always been pleasant, by UK service standards. :) Keep in mind their policies regarding cash that are provided when booking to avoid any phaff.”

    American Grocer

    ★★★★☆ 4
    Closed

“As an American that lives here in the UK, American Grocer has been my go to online store. I placed my last order after 5pm on a Thursday and arrived right after 9am on Saturday (today). Their customer service is top notch! You can call the location and ask questions. My orders have always been free delivery, however I met the threshold on every order! This has been my hidden secret for my American food fix for several years! I'm grateful for their staff and their partners.”

    The Kind Cafe

    ★★★☆☆ 3.6
    Closed

“The Pantry (previously called the kind cafe) is lovely little hidden gem. There really is nothing else like it in Harrow. They sell fresh pastries (sweet and savory) and a range of healthy lunches and your usual hot drinks. The pastries are hand made by the chefs on site and are always delicious. I am veggie and they have a great vegetarian range. What's more, it is a not a for-profit cafe, associated with the community kitchen next door and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and the interior is cute and country style. I would highly recommend trying it out!”

    Wine Tavern

    ★★★☆☆ 3.6

“Great little off license with a fantastic selection of beers wines & spirits from all over the world, the beers & wines are always really cold as they’re kept in the posh wood framed glass door fridges, my only fault is I wish they had some budget tonic water other than that it’s perfect & it’s open till 10pm”
