“With a background in kaiseki, Chef Yasu’s cooking always carries a strong sense of seasonality. This visit, set at the turn of summer to autumn, saw two styles of plating shift from vivid colours to the muted tones of fallen leaves, wheat, chestnuts and early autumn earth. The restaurant focuses on ageing, and the highlights were unmistakably the scallop and squid. Although Japanese ingredients in China are far superior to London’s in general, the flavour developed from this ice-water ageing technique was surprisingly deep and expressive. Inaniwa Udon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Intense katsuobushi umami with a touch of sudachi’s bright sweet–sour freshness. Hand Roll ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crisp nori, creamy minced tuna, rich and silky — packed with pure umami. Anago (Saltwater Eel) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The exterior soaks up the sweet, glossy sauce; the eel is tight-grained and delicate with a hint of sansho. “I had real apprehensions when I first decided to go to West London Ink because I wasn’t sure what my half sleeve would look like when finished. We just spoke about it and no design was shared prior to having the tattoos done. However, this was my mistake! I had my half sleeve done by James who knew what the finished product would look like and is immensely skilled in what he does. His advice and insight was extremely helpful to allow me to make an informed decision. Thank you so much James for the fantastic job. The staff are friendly, the establishment is hygienic and I would recommend this tattoo parlour. “A welcoming, friendly but professional service and high hygiene standards. I was made to feel at ease straight away by all the staff. I was given the time to discuss my tattoo, swapped ideas and measurements taken etc. Then within a week later, I was booked in. Cristian the tattoo artist, took the time to show me awesome ideas for my tattoo. These designs were much better than I could of thought of! He made sure it was all the right size and completely happy with all the intricate details, breaking down each bits of my tattoo. During the process he was checking I was okay as well as worked a lot of detail in a timely manner, but no means rushed. The end result is incredible, highly detailed, unique, personal and far better than I imagined! I’ll definitely be returning and having more tattoos by him. Highly recommended!”

“Betta did some excellent work on some tribal tattoos for me. Planned out so that I was never uncomfortable as we know how far I can go before it gets too painful. Price is as quoted so if they do it in an hour or three it’s same price. Level of detail is insane. Design is checked and checked again so that I was happy with it. Printed out then checked on arm. Made sure all was ok before even bringing a needle out. Highly recommended Just added another photo of the ongoing work. Tribal filled in and blue eyes and heart. Betta doing some great work on my arm. Another up date Now working on the other side of the arm turning into a half sleeve what started out as a tribal wrist band. So here is a run down of how it went. First hour was doing the usual consent forms then on to checking the design ( which Betta was happy to change for me). The checking how it would fit on the arm. Then print off and transfer onto arm. Betta changed a couple of things when it was on my arm because arms are 3d and paper isn’t. Once all that was done I got to check and see if it looked how I wanted it to look. We did this both looking in a mirror and photos. Then onto the actual tattoo itself. Made sure I was comfortable happy with how I have to stay. Betta works quickly for such intricate work. But always made sure I was ok. We know how far I can go it becomes too much for me. So although it looks half coloured in this was as far as I had agreed for this time and I had already booked a return visit. Service They knew I was coming and both sent me a text and email to confirm. Given a coffee on arrival and a chat to put me at ease. Any concerns I had with design were addressed and it was changed to what I preferred. Time in the chair was good being asked if I needed a break etc. after care usual high standard. Will update again as I get more done.”

“Been getting my ink done by ricci Woodward for the past 9 years, can not find a single fault from the design process to the after care explanation even down to making the whole experience as enjoyable as possible, constant offers from other members of the team for refreshments whilst being inked. I am very surprised to see low start ratings at all because I would give 10 stars if possible, very clean hygienic well run shop”

“We went around 7:15 PM for dinner, it was quite at the time, mostly empty. More people joined afterwards but was not overly crowded being a Wednesday night. Service was prompt and food was excellent. We are vegetarian so ordered only vegetarian food and both the items from mains were good. We also ordered two deserts and they were good too. It had calm vibes of small town Mexican dinner.”
